More Lugar v. Mourdock

U.S. Senator Richard Lugar goes on the offensive against primary challenger State Treasurer Richard Mourdock.  In a new television ad Lugar attacks Mourdock’s  attendance record at state boards and commissions on which he serves.  The Mourdock campaign called the ad misleading and a smear tactic .

    Open letter to Mr. Mourdock

Welcome to the big leagues Mr. Mourdock
Mr. Mourdock, you threw the first pitch.but it was a low ball in the dirt, you were not even close to throwing a strike. You are not in the little league any longer, this my man is the big leagues.

You came out ugly early, just like Melina did. You attempted to trash the good name of Se.Lugar, you went after him like a school yard bully. There public saw this as a bush league move and the fans didn’t buy it.

Mr. Mourdock, If you are going to play in the big game, make sure that you have the team to back you up.A nasty un lit billboard on highway 30 is nothing but a foul ball.Bringing in hateful people to run your team is also blowing back on you. Dont you understand that the people who say the represent you are foul and full of hate? Thats not a way to win fans over.

Now be prepared to take a big time brush back the next time you try and step up to the plate. You have not even been able to get on first, let alone second. The game is on Mr. Mourdock. Your hate filled campaign does not play well with true Hoosiers. This game will be over in the second inning along with your political career.

Welcome to the Big Leagues Mr. Mourdock.

Is this the best that you can do?

  • Wurstnitemare

Nope, I gots a lot more where this came from.

Mourdock has left the door open for lots of material.
To be honest I’m surprised that you endorse Mourdocks hate group.

  • Ramon

…and Mourdock does not think his shaming attacks on Lugar’s residency are misleading and a smear tactic.  Mourdock, you are a loser.

  • Wurstnitemare

Ramon, The tactic was a valid one on Mourdocks part. Its the way that he went about it.No class at all.Just like his bagmen/mouth piece from the hate filled  hoosier patriots group.

His advisors gave him some really bad advice. You don’t go up to a woman with a bay carriage teller that he baby is ugly. Mourdock tad millions of hoosiers that they have been stupid for voting for Lugar.Thats not the way to win votes.

Are there residency issue, sure????. More importantly there are sanity issues for Mourdock and his campaign

  • Think Again

    Why does that surprise you?

  • Dave

Just a question, but aren’t there other, highly placed state office holders who likewise & routinely miss these board & commission meetings?

  • Scooter

Yes, there are. Usually a representative from that office attends in their place.

If a representative of Mourdoc was in place…. what’s the problem?

  • Scooter

If it’s an ugly baby, you are just stating fact. It my be rude, but it is fact.

  • Rico

Lugar’s good name?  The Senator threw that away decades ago!

  • Think Again

This ad works because a huge chunk of Indiana’s electorate thinks Mourdock is mandated to attend these meetings.  Without regard to whether he sends a deputy.

This is the voter climate in which we live.  It’s the same damned climate that allowed Mourdock to exploit Lugar’s residency issue.

Neither issue means much.  I’d much rather know how the candidates feel about pertinent pending Congressional issues.  But instead we get these sidewhows.

But, againk–we get them because they work.
