Fun to watch. Wagner is rolling. Beginning to long for an equally hardcore opposite, leaving Abdul to play game show host while pummeling excesses from both sides. Bush is a poor President for many reasons. But, difficult to imagine Ms. Wagner would let something ideologically equivilent and facile as “Bush Redux” pass by her unscathed. But, the length of this segment is built for grenade-throwing.
Think Again
I like it. It gets better with each installment.

I can’t watch it from this PC – office filters etc. But I see comments about Bush, so I hope nobody minds a brief blurb on Bush duplicity (which is shared by the other side of the aisle, who are equally duplicitous in their silence on the following issue):
.
A major Russian steel corporation has just announced the finalization of a deal to purchase a major US steel manufacturer – whose major shareholders include the private equity Carlyle Group, which is largely owned by the Bush family.
.
So let’s put this into perspective: The US is currently engaged in a new dangerous proxy war against Russia using Georgian forces in direct combat with Russian forces – which the US Deputy National Security Advisor has reported includes the deployment of Russian SS-21 mobile launch platforms for tactical nuclear weapons into Georgia. Yesterday Russia announced that it reserves the right to a pre-emptive nuclear strike if necessary to maintain initiative.
.
Most of this has gone unreported in US media, in tandem with the blatant CNN/PBS/CBS/FOX lies and distortions that insinuate that Russia is the agressor. I watched Charlie Rose make a complete ass of himself trying to corner the Russian UN ambassaodr with no success.
.
The US is currently supplying Georgia with more military supplies, and currently maintains over 100 US military advisors in Georgia. The US has also laid claim to Georgian air and sea ports in order to provide “humanitarian aid”. Additionally, the US provided material support to Georgia by transporting Georgian troops from Iraq in order to deploy them against Russian forces.
.
This is a very dangerous game, and in the midst of it, the Bush family is seeking to make a profit by selling critical US manufacturing capacity to the nation whom they are currently engaging (via proxy and direct aid) on the battle field. FYI, for those who may not be aware, the Carlyle Group who is involved in selling this US steel manufacturing firm is also the worlds largest conglomerate of arms suppliers – the US military is their biggest customer.
.
So – who benefits? Russian financiers – they get a war and justified increased military spending – meaning more profit for the Russian central bankers who will finance the Russians. And US Fed Banks – who will profit by additional loans of $$$billions made to the US government. And the globalists – who are not only the financiers, but they can point to this and use it as another excuse to eliminate borders and combine sovereign nations into regional unions under UN (or similar) central leadership – with no nukes and only a single global police force.
.
It’s no wonder the globalists have chosen the Bush crime syndicate as their leading reps to sit in the White House. With such an opportunity to amass huge fortunes by working all sides of the profit spectrum, how could any good Bush possibly turn down the White House position?
.
That’s what’s going on today, and that is why the mainstream media and the silent opposition are equally traitorous. Like George HW Bush once said on Iran-Contra in an interview with Sarah McClendon: “Sarah, if the American people ever find out what we have done, they will chase us down the streets and lynch us.”.
.
So…. like father, like son. Here’s the link to the news story on the sale of US steel manufacturing to the Russians: http://en.rian.ru/business/20080813/115999439.html

Not bad although how Wagner can defend the sheriff and complain about the toll road sale is beyond me. Another Democrat that doesn’t have a clue. Abdul wins the hottie contest with the black pin stripe power suit! Jen just couldn’t measure up! VBG

John … now come on… Jen’s not so bad. You just have to understand that she has a job to do representing one side.
I learned some time ago that lots of people in politics say things that there is no possible way they believe. Some of them will even say or repeat something so stupid that you wonder how they are smart enough to breath.
You also have to understand that very few of them are students of economics, foreign policy or anything other than politics itself.
And Shorebreak… we need pitchforks and torches my friend. Worth adding to your comments is that the interaction between Georgia and Russia prompted Poland to go ahead and allow the U.S. to put missle defense systems on their soil and to work towards upgrading their military. That deal was consumated today as Poland became increasingly worried about Russia’s intentions. So, this might be a two-fer for the war profiteers.

Sean – The only reason the lawmakers get away with it is because the news networks cover it up. They usually don’t get caught, but here’s a short clip of a ‘not so good’ attempt to prevent viewers from hearing the truth. Take a look at the response from corporate media when a reporter speaking to Condi Rice starts out by explaining that Russian public reaction to Georgia’s attack on South Ossetia is similar to the reaction of the US public reaction to the attacks on 9/11. The network pulled the plug on the truth so fast that they didn’t have time to switch back to the anchor desk – the system went to ‘no signal’ before the anchor was back to make excuses: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=322_1218816591
.
The last thing that the globalist propagandists want viewers to do is to identify with the people who were attacked. They might lose our support for more killing in order to line their pockets with our tax dollars.

SB – I tend not to buy into any grand conspiracy of the media other than that they all basically suffer from groupthink and the echo chamber but seeing that Condi interview was at the State Department it makes it more curious since yeah, a State Department person absolutely could have … ummm … tripped over the cord?
Who knows.

SB- I’m suppossed to be enhancing my Marxist theory, so I ask for patience on further ruminations (not being a smart aleck). I think I perceive a common thread of banks and the rich being the ultimate string-pullers and regional leaders being somewhat interchangable. But, if banks & big industry make mega-dollars on war, why do they have interest in the relative peace of “sovereign nations into regional unions under UN (or similar) central leadership”? The “real” money’s in steady supply of global police needs versus more irratic and incendiary regional conflicts? Military/industrial/global parasitic pirates of the working class theory and a media that refuses to conduct journalism- I think I’m onboard. Not sure how the global bandits make more $ in peace than war.

tc1972 … now, now … be nice to Shorebreak LOL.
“Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t after you.” (I believe that’s from the movie “Shocker” although Nirvana later did a song with that lyric in it)
Shorebreak
tc1972 – LOL, sometimes I ask myself the same question!
.
Taxpayer, you asked:”But, if banks & big industry make mega-dollars on war, why do they have interest in the relative peace of “sovereign nations into regional unions under UN (or similar) central leadership”?”
Excellent question. The answer goes back to the formation of the League of Nations. It was only after WWI that the primary finance interests who conceived and organized the League of Nations attempted to generate global support. They labeled the war “The War To End All Wars” as a means to bind every nation together under a banner of peace. Fortunately for us and for the US Constitution, it was well known among many in Congress that the League of Nations was nothing more than a power grab by private interests, and the US never joined.
.
After WWII, the same effort began again, this time it was called the United Nations – once again under the banner of global peace.
.
Banks and financiers certainly profit during times of war. But their ultimate goal is for global unity – under their control. That’s where the big money is.
.
But also… if you look at the writings of the organizers of globalism, these bankers aren’t driven by money. They use money as a tool to achieve their objectives. They see themselves as benefactors of humanity, who will shepherd the masses when they can finally get us to comply with their vision. Just look at what David Rockefeller (2nd wealthiest man on earth) wrote in his 2002 autobiography ‘Memoirs’:
“”For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents such as my encounter with Castro to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure – one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.”
.
These people boldly admit it, folks. It’s not a secret. It’s just not covered by mainstream media. Instead, the media focus’s on what they’ve labeled as ‘conspiracy theory’ so that when the truth is presented, those who haven’t done their research will automatically assign the phrase ‘tinfoil hat’. Even when hard evidence and circumstantial fact to support the hard evidence is irrefutable.

Shorebreak…I’m posting that tidbit you offered on HFFT. Thanks!
MSM would sell America’s soul in a handbasket.

We’re describing a neo-totalitarianism, maybe no so much China as Russia? Industrial oligarchys with 1-2 companies dominating (like Russian oil?), and peacetime permitting steady $ in commodities, energy, etc. versus the relative income blips of ramped-up conflicts? Dunno. Wherever we’re heading- with both parties heeding corporations and reelection instead of the middle class, and media desperately tilting for dollars instead of being our fourth estate-it ain’t looking good, Willie. If this planetary piracy stuff is true, I’m not sure they haven’t overplayed their hand if America goes third world with default. But, maybe not if you’re a diversified ‘Internationalist’. Sounds like Galactica(sp?) in the comic books. Use the Silver Surfer as your diversionary lead scout and follow behind, sucking everything out of the planet to leave a husk- and move on to the next.
