500,000 and Counting…
Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita says there are 500,000 new and updated voter registrations in Indiana. Rokita says that brings the number of voters in the state to 4.4 million and there are still six weeks to go before voter registration ends. More than 200,000 of those registrations are new voters. In 2004, Indiana saw 565,000 new and updates voter registrations. A spokesman says they could get between 700,000 and 750,000 new and updated regsistered voters by the time voter registration ends in October.

I am so glad we have voter ID laws now which will cut out some of the cheating at the polls.
.
As incompetent as our government offices are, (think assessor, coroner, and center township trustee) you know that many of these “new” voters are not new at all. Some will have two or more registrations.
.
I get multiple copies of political mailers addressed to everyone who has lived at my address going back two decades.
.
I know the voter registration records are not accurate. And I know some folks have voted more than once. Someone should ask Beth White what she’s doing about that in Marion county.

Why ask? Beth White is simply following in the path of her mentor Julia, ” Vote Early, Vote Often”. The dead in Crown Hill always vote Democratic in Center Township.

If the Indiana McCain Campaign weren’t being run out of Michigan, perhaps there might be more GOP voters registration…

“Women for McCain” / cocacola - please use the same nickname for your comments, or I have to approve every one … and if we can get moneyguy to quit filling his website out as google.com, my admin job will be pretty easy. Thanks a bunch, Kevin

Sorry guys that’s what comes up when I log in to my website. Let me know if http://www.google.com/webhp this one works.

Moneyguy - if we knew your google username and password we could see what you see, but we don’t know it so all we see is the basic google search page. I have to delete the link everytime, which means when you use it again, I have to approve each comment and it doesn’t appear right away. Thanks!

It seems Abdul is following in his hero’s footsteps…….as things approach the wire, all information will be scrutinized and silenced(if necessary). An informed electorate is Obama’s worst enemy.
I don’t know the legitimacy of any of these links, or the accuracy of their claims, but I find it odd that you are just now showing concern. Trying to ‘Stop the Smears’, Abdul?

You need a cocktail, dude. Relax. If you don’t like this blog, go read something else. It’s real simple.

How many of these registrations are duplicates and will vote absentee. The absentee votes are the ones to really monitor. For eight past elections, the previous owner of the downtown condo I had purchased, continued to receive mail at my address from the Democrat Party. Finaaly, I carried the card to Voter Regisration to inform them she was no longer a resident of Indiana and did not live at the address anymore, but had moved permanently to the state of Florida and could prove it under the penalties of perjury. I was told they could not purge her name from the pollbook at my address unless she cancelled her own registration. I think I will check to see if someone has been voting for her since 1998.
