SUPER CREDIT
There is a very good chance Indianapolis will be awarded the 2012 Super Bowl this afternoon in Atlanta. Indy is competing with Houston and Phoenix. I rule out Houston because the 2011 Super Bowl will be right outside Dallas. And the Phoenix was a logistical disaster, ergo Indianapolis gets the bid. However, if the city does get the bid, that presents an interesting question, who should get the credit? Bart Peterson or Greg Ballard. The Peterson people will say they laid the groundwork for the bid. The Ballard people will say they sealed the deal. What do you say?

Bart lies.

I say the taxpayers will be spending entirely too much money just to make some people “feel good” for a week.
Stop any 10 people on the street and ask them where the last three Super Bowl games were paid.
Case closed.

Sorry. Last line should read “were PLAYED.”

Indianapolis hosting the Super Bowl will be fantastic. It will revitalize ALL of the crime ridden and abandoned neighborhoods in our city.
Just look at what it did for Detroit!
Great to see Tech High School will get multimillion dollar sports venue too. Maybe they’ll have enough money left over to clean out the crack houses and run a few prostitutes off the streets in the area.

If it works out as a money maker for the city, everyone should get a piece of the praise.

Bart had his chance last year and he failed.
It’s pretty simple,
“To the victor go the spoils”,
If Ballard and crew close the deal then they alone deserve the credit.

Nobody “alone” deserves the credit. What a moronic statement. The Peterson team did the bulk of the work. Without the foundation, there is no “sealing the deal.” Ballard gets some credit for as usual being in the right place at the right time.

Accidental Superbowl?

Both are guilty. Peterson for YET AGAIN bending over for Irsay and family; and Ballard for breaking his promise to not pursue a Super Bowl until the more pressing issues are under control.
Both are/were ineffective and incompetent.

Seems to me the winners will be the merchants, hotels and restaurants. Everyone will be spending money and that equates to tax revenue.

Peterson couldn’t sell blankets to freezing Eskimos.
Ballard and his staff alone deserve the credit, however Ballard being the gentleman that he is will probably share it with the former administration though undeserving.

Isn’t it great that an obese, often-intoxicated, ignorant convicted felon can spout off his bilge? America truly is a great country

I don’t remember Ballard saying he WOULDN’T pursue a Super Bowl.

“Isn’t it great that an obese, often-intoxicated, ignorant convicted felon can spout off his bilge? America truly is a great country”
For the record A**hole,
I may be a big guy but…I’m never intoxicated and I’m not a felon also I’m not afraid to call an A**hole a A**hole, …A**hole!
You are right on one item America truly is a great country. It allows A**holes like you the freedom of speech.
Next time you see me introduce yourself I wouldn’t mind exchanging a few words with you.

What words would you exchange with me? Did I strike a nerve with you? Tips on how to promptly file one’s taxes in a timely manner without incurring an arrest?
Oh..sorry. You can’t give THAT advice, can you, Ernie?
Hey, you put yourself out here as some sort of half-baked expert with an “informed” opinion on everyone or every thing local, expect to be a legitimate target of criticism yourself.
If you cant stand the heat, get out of the blogosphere, instead of responding with such intellectual prose as the use of the word A**hole 5 times.
Finally, when I do run into you, I’ll be more than happy to introduce myself to you.
Grow some thicker skin, or just grow up.

” Tips on how to promptly file one’s taxes in a timely manner without incurring an arrest?”
I did file on time and correctly. The charges were filed because of a mistake by an auditor they were dropped because everyone realized that I didn’t do anything wrong.
Dropped idiot no felon here and no criminal record of any kind. Do the research to it’s end instead of slinging BS. Why not use your real name if you are so informed? Your an idiot pure and simple if you believe everything that you read on TDW, most of it is immature opinions without substance.
Looking forward to meeting you. A**hole.
