blog advertising is good for you

I got an e-mail this morning from Indianapolis Deputy Mayor Steve Campbell about my critique of Mayor Bart Peterson’s new ad where he says he stood with taxpayers and forced the state to order a new assessment in Marion County.

Steve told me in the e-mail my criticism was off because the Mayor was the first person to call for or bring up a new assessment in Marion County. That’s not entirely accurate because the Governor was the first person to say he would order a new reassessment if necessary and secondly, the Mayor in the news release did not call for a new assessment, he just said he would support one if it was ordered.

So I stand corrected to the extent I said the Mayor had not mentioned reassessments, however he was not the first to call for one because, in fact he didn’t. He said he would support one if it was reordered.

So I guess we both stand corrected.

A Deputy Mayor stand corrected? Not in their own mind.

  • Disgusted Taxpayer

The tax and spend damocraps will not assume responsibility for the current state of affairs in this city, but they will steal your ideas and make them their own. The new TV ad is a good example of this.

Was the printed communication from Campbell written well, or did it st-st-st-st-stutter like he always does when he is bullshitting?

It is interesting that mayor Bart ‘feels’ for the citizens with high property taxes, but doesn’t say anything about how he ‘feels’ about raising the income tax 65% the next week.
And not one tv/radio reporter will jump on it.

I wish the Peterson Administration would put as much effort into governing as it does trying to stage support for the Mayor (by using city employees to show up at Council Meetings and responding to polls) and trying to rewrite history.

    Once again, BART LIES!

Yes, I believe what Abdul said is true but let us not forget that Abdul is not worried about being being re-elected as are some in the CCB.

One of Bart’s people admit to being wrong? Not in this lifetime.

The mayor does not stand with the taxpayers…he made it difficult for us attend the budget address.

The city council voted his 65% tax increase against our demands.

And Steve Campbell promised me a meeting some time ago and will not return calls or emails.

They stand with no one but themselves and I think the city gets it.

I am ashamed I voted for Peterson…twice. Never again.

…and the Ballard TV campaign ads are starting when?

Wilson lies and exagerates too! Typical of most democraps. The game plan is to blame the Republicans for everything, and not to mention the faults of their fellow democraps. either he is a paid mouth piece for the Ghetto Mafia when they can’t find anyone else to attack the people who disagree with their program.

That Party only uses slightly retards they can control.

Polis Politics has an EXCELLENT break down on the latest minute lie of Barts.

Wilson, Greg Ballard doesn’t have 3 million dollars raised by wealthy contractors and developers to spend on commercials like your rich buddy bart. I’m sure his commercials will air when he raises some funds. other than that stay the Fu*k off of Abdul’s blog.
You are an idiot Wilson………….Go Away!

“either he is a paid mouth piece for the Ghetto Mafia” – Wilson was paid $14,000 of your tax dollars as a “member” of Julia Carson’s congressional staff.

…and the Ballard TV campaign ads are starting when?

Do you still think we believe that the GOP actually wants Ballard to win? Quit foolin’ yourself Wilson. We’re not as dumb as you think we are.

And to Greg, no offense brother but you’re either being strung along or you’re in on the deception. I don’t want to rush to judgement without fact so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. Either way, the local GOP leadership needs you to lose.

Shorebreak: I’ve heard that same line too – which begs to ask – why did the GOP then bother with putting up a mayoral candidate? If the GOP is giving up on Marion County then do like other corrupt cities like Chicago, lock the doors and go away. Send IMPD around to round up all the right-wingers and relocate them to resettlement camps in Carmel and Noblesville.

Getting campaign donations for next year? Hardly. The amount Ballard’s campaign will raise will pale compared to what Gov. Daniels and other higher profile candidates will raise.

Wow. Wilson, you should heed your own advice and stay on topic. You blast others for not doing so then come on here and point out the financial shortcomings of the opponent.

Were the tables turned and it was a Republican Mayor pulling this same act as Peterson & Campbell that Abdul has pointed out, you would be having a fit. Too bad that waste of space Mayor has this city locked down. You can sit behind your computer and talk smack knowing the lemmings of this town fear change. This town is a big thoughtless bandwagon.

And for once address something, Wilson.

  • Fact Check

Uh, it DID happen, Grover…Goldsmith in his first re-election campaign.

Politics is cyclical. Now, it’s a Democratic town. May not always be…

But it wasn’t so long ago, Democrats had to work hard to find anyone to run for mayor.

Steve Campbell has had to much to drink at the Rathskeller. Video? Driving?

Wilson tends to get testy when his public tax dollar gravy train is threatened.
