Open Forum

I’ve been pretty busy this week working on some other projects and have to run out of town this weekend.  So I decided to leave you guys with an open forum to bat around whatever floats your boat.  Here are a few topics.

  1. The U.S. Supreme Court decision on health care reform.
  2. Mike Pence’s “9-11 gaffe”.
  3. Whether Indiana will expand its Medicaid progam.
  4. My favorite – The public relations idiocy of the Indiana Fireworks Association for threatening to challenge communities than ban fireworks in the face of the worst heat wave in more than 20 years in this state.  If some firefighter gets killed putting out something that should have never started in the first place, I’m sure the IFA will be happy that person was exercising their rights to see the rockets red glare.

    The Supreme Thwart has signed a death certificate of what used to be our Republic & Constitution.  There is no product they can’t force citizens to purchase by calling it a “tax,” including political campaigns, carbon credits, abortion funding…

    Congressman Pence had it right the first time in his gut reaction.  Any apology has a bowing before “royalty” quality to  it…

    States that push back on Medicaid will get the Arizona treatment; or let Colorado burn, the fireworks policy of a lawless government.

    The only fix is wholesale replacement of the status quotient, including new robe wearers & and updated ruling that confirms the existence of the Constitution; vs. a “clever” by half political distortion or interpretive contortion.

    Now lets move to the next phase.  Make all doctors government employees so that they work for the government, not the patient.  Then use health care to regulate human behavior.

    We need to be able to force all of these over weight “cows”, especially lower class women, to lose weight.  And force people to stop smoking.  Even if it means giving the doctors the power to put people in prison.

    And lets use health care to emasculate men.  Especially Hispanics and Blacks.  Any macho behavior and right into mental health treatment.  No guns, no drugs, no booze, no young women, no partying.

    and forced sterilization of all non college women once they have two children.  That would reduce proverty.

    Lets have the new progressive world…..

    Dave, sounds like it might not be a bad idea to leave the U.S. since everything is so doom and gloom.  Oh, but wait, where would you go?  Canada?  England?  Central Europe?  Can’t go there – they have nationalized medicine.  I know – how about South America?  You could start a reverse movement like the  Arizona anti-immigrant law that would help keep out those pesky Americans who are trying to sneak illegally across the border in order to avoid Obamacare!

    3.Sounds like there’s a loophole right now, so yes.
    4.Why did they have so much input to change the law in the first place.
    5.Mitch and cronyism, what Mitch did wasn’t right he could of gotten some other job. This looks bad.

    Oh,  the crazies are out in full force.   I think the Pence gaffe is only one of many to come.  He is so radical right that maybe even the voters of Indiana will reject this radical Republican.

    What, exactly, was the gaffe?  How does it compare with the daily output of the VP?  What is meant by “radical”?  Do you suppose that Joe Donnelly is mainstream because he voted for Obamacare and the 21 new  taxes which are in it?

    Our government is out of control. The middle class is working harder each year for fewer and fewer benefits while the taxes the middle class pays, supports the entitlements that the liberals hand out like candy at Halloween to lazy, undeserving parasites. Democrats are selling our country down the river. Socialism comes at too great a cost to Democracy.
    Thomas Jefferson said, ” a government that is big enough to take care of you, is big enough to take away everything you have.”
    The middle class needs to rise up and say enough already!!

    So, cut out the current cancerouts lifetime appointment arm of the state and replace with new cancerous lifetime appointments to the STATE is a solution? 

    Constitution????? Please!!!!!!  Been dead since at least 1913. More like 1863.

    I could be happier with an Articles of Confederation system if I had to choose.

    I love the just leave the US since you have no right to complain against fascisim.  Karen may well be served to visit the History section of the public library (if it is not too damaged by leaky glass panels).

    It should have been apparent that you now live in a (choose one…Cronytocracy, kleptocracy, plutocracy, idiocracy…etc.) simce at least 1999.  Simply follow which stock sector did what after the decision and follow the money.  Oh, BTW, you are aware that the Supreme court also is exempt from insider trading laws, just like the CONgress.  This will probably surprise some of the other posters like ……

    Was the gaffe that Pence was a leader in the House when Obama’s health care fiasco was voted on?  As I recall, Sam, NO REPUBLICAN voted in favor of it.  The House, then, was divided on a partisan basis, dividing means pretty much the same thing as separating.

    Karen, it does not bother you how much power the IRS now has.Now the IRS has the most power of any government agency. They are judge,jury and executioner. Healthcare reform is great,but now the IRS has total power over our lives..as if they don’t already

    But do you not see that every bill (TARP, TALF, NDAA, GMO Labeling, Debt ceiling) that any rational person KNOWS is destructive, gets passed.  They make their little deals on who can vote against what knowing full well the wheel will keep on turning.  Eventually you will be under that wheel.

    Meridian Hills Country Club fireworks display was on Friday night and Ballard waits until Saturday to ban private firework displays.  I wonder if there is a connection.

    No one including me needs to do anything to make Pence look crazy.  He is doing a fine job of that by himself.  I hope he keeps talking and doing interviews.
