How’s That Early Voting Going?

Marion County early voting is down nearly 30% in the 2012 primary as compared to 2008.

According to the Marion County Clerk’s Office,a s of 3:30 Monday afternoon there have been 6,556 requests for absentee ballots this primary as opposed to 9,558 in 2012.  However in areas where there are hotly contested races, i.e. the 5th Congressional District or State House District 92, the vote totals appear higher than other places in the County.

Below is a breakdown of the ballot requests…

  • Center – 1077
  • Decatur – 136
  • Franklin – 411
  • Lawrence – 966
  • Perry – 732
  • Pike – 751
  • Warren – 662
  • Washington – 1518
  • Wayne – 842

I’ll will have new early statewide absentee ballot requests later today and will post that information when it becomes available.

  • Think Again

Your lead is factually inferior.  In 2008, there was a hotly-contested presidential primary.

  • Dave

Some absentee ballot requests are going sluggishly unfulfilled…

  • Ramon

In 2012, voters had the option of voting early at voting centers other than the CC Building.  Many took that option rather than vote absentee.  Then the Republicans who originally supported the concept changed their minds when they perceived that more Dems used the voting centers than Repubs.  You see,  the GOP works on voter suppression rather than offering candidates and ideas that people might support.

  • Indy4U2C

Is there a count on the number of the Center Twp early voters that are deceased at the time they “voted”?

    (-Wilson likely has that figure)

  • Think Again

    Zero.

    Same as Washington Township.

If you have any indications otherwise, please run–don’t walk–to the prosecutor.

These urban myths continue to flourish.

  • Indy4U2C

TA, provide me the list & I’ll check.

As for “urban myth”:  The South Bend Tribune reports that four St. Joseph County Democratic operatives,
including former party chairman Butch Morgan, were indicted for
their role in forging presidential ballot petitions.

  • Ramon

TA is correct. Indy4U2C,  if you know of any deceased voters voting anywhere then you have a civic duty to report it to the proper authorities.  Otherwise you are just blathering on about  nonsense some of  which is based on racism.  Why don’t you go to Hamilton County where there has just been a well publicized conviction involving voter fraud.  You do have another choice and that is to quit talking about things you know nothing about.

  • Indy4U2C

Laugh, there goes Ramon with the race card again!!!

-Ignorant people throw the race card when they have no fact.  Where did race come into this, Ramon?  BTW, I posted the fact above….

  • Dave

However “intended,” the party at all costs attitude is hostile & abusive (bullying).

The party afflicted refuse to consider any information (like the following Youtube clip done by 2008 Democrat caucus members & workers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9TcHyqPlpU ) that does not fit their narrative (narrow-tive).

These are Democrats speaking about their own party; the O’pression they experienced & Americans see today with this presidente.

  • Pascal

And, don’t we have some more dumbocraps doing the same thing down in southern, Indiana??  What is up with these  ”myths”, TA?  Been better to have a special prosecutor?  Has anyone run the South Bend list past the occupants of the various boneyards?  How come Repugs never get caught doing this stuff-and they supposed to be the stupid party?
How does it feel, down there, being crushed by facts, TA?  What is the design depth of that submarine that you, running silent, have now around 700′ down?

  • Scooter

Yep.  A well-publicized conviction.  That’s because north of 96th we don’t tolerate that crap….. unlike Center Township that has a representative ‘claiming’ racial epithets were shouted at him, while cameras were rolling, that could never be proven.  Even with allllll those cameras and microphones on & open.

Quit playing that card, Ramon… you are starting to piss me off with it.
I come from a smaller minority that since being accepting of ‘reservations’ now faces it’s own self-imposed genocide.  Notice I didn’t blame it on the white man.

Now knock it off and pick yourself up.

  • Think Again

Candidacy petitions are NOT ballots, fellow poster.  And the wrong-doers are being prosecuted.  You can fan those flames all you want and it won’t change facts.  Ask Mr. Rokita.  He used the vast resources of his office for four years to find valid evidence of amssive vote fraud–and he struck out.  And then when there was a valid case, Mr.White, he flaked out.  Nice try, Indy.  But swing-and-a-miss.

The hotly-contested presidential primary in 2008 produced the largest number of voters ever.  It might have done the same thing if the GOP primary had remained competitive through May.  Hoosiers love a good fight–it energizes the base, and expands it.

Dummy up.  Oops–mission already accomplished.  But, repeating myths is more fun for you, isn’t it?

  • Think Again

Enlighten me please, Pascal.  Was the Southern Indiana case recent?  Is it finished?  Was fraud found and proven?

Answers, in shorthand: yes, no, no.

    But thanks for stopping by.

I’ll agree that ANY voter fraud is too much.  I just don’t think it runs as rampant as you’d like to believe.  It makes for good stories.  But truth is better.  If you know of any voter fraud, it is your duty to report it.

Even if running your mouth about rumors is more fun.

I was in one submarine one time.  Disney World.  Didn’t care for it.

  • Ramon

Well,  why didn’t you mention voter fraud in Franklin, Perry or Decatur?   Does voter fraud only occur in Center Township?  Before you mention it, I am aware that Center Township is majority white and that more African Americans live in the other 8 townships than live in Center.  It all goes back to decades old myths about what goes on in elections.

  • Ramon

Likewise,  you know nothing about me.   I prefer that we keep it that way.

  • Indy4U2C

I’ve worked Center Twp polls when “Her Majesty, Madame Julia” was Queen…..

-Yes, Ramon, I know what I’m posting about!

  • Think Again

Why don’t you post specific, exact details, instead of more urban myth-spreading?

And, if you suspected fraud, at any time, what precisely did you do about it?

    Nothing?

  • Indy4U2C

Nothing suspected, it was obvious!  -When the bus pulled up and the infirm were told their name for voting purpose.  Oh,  I reported it to the election commission and the vote(s) were challenged, Oh, LIBERAL one…..

BTW, did you ever do any civic duty, TA?  Ever serve in the military?  (LOL)

  • MacReady

And if you know of any voter suppression going on, YOU have a civic duty to report it to the proper authorities…

  • Indy4U2C

TA needs another reminder of the Democrat Machine:

Again, for TA, who was probably picking his nose during my first post:  FOUR St. Joseph County DEMOCRATIC OPERATIVES, including former party chairman Butch Morgan, were INDICTED for their role in forging presidential ballot petitions.

That is the “hotly contested” preidential primary you referred to in your post, TA. -What you called “myth” turned out to be “FACT!”

  • Think Again

And they’re being p[rosecuted, because someone turned them in, right?  As it should be.

Someone did their civic duty by reporting it.  Instead of spreading urban myth on blogs.

These alleged acts are hideous.  If convicted, these folks should be punished.
It’s no fun to watch this happening, among former leader sof my party.

BUT: the main question was, and is: what do you KNOW has happened at polling places?  If improper actions have opccured, what have you DONE to report it?

    Try to stay focused, huh?

What public service have I performed?  Oh my, you don’t have time…

But this isn’t aboutme…it’s abojt your insane rambling about massive voter fraud.  You and Todd Rokita could form a Yahoo Chorus on that one.

  • indyernie

“Disney World” go figure…TA likes those fantasy
    lands….he lives in one.

  • indyernie

TA earlier you called democrat voter fraud a “myth”. Is there or was there, democrat voter fraud?

  • Southsider
  • Rico

He called you ignorant. So he knows, at least, what everyone else on here knows.  You being a race-baiter is just as widely known.

  • Rico

How about a very specific case of voter intimidation, when Tony Duncan threw our worker’s Eric Dickerson literature and signs in the dumpster?  So goes Center Township.

  • Rico

Well, imagine that, TA! Just read over on advance indiana that yet MORE Democrat officials have been charged with voter fraud here in Indiana.  Those pesky myths!

  • Scooter
  • http://twitter.com/Wilson46201 Wilson E. Allen

Evan Bob Croddy never made such a ridiculous claim, Rico!

  • Pascal

As posted above, we have another democrat charged, I guess, with some sort of fraud.  Why is it only ever democrats?
