This is my problem with this blog: It's not that it's conservative and I am progressive - it's a free country. It's that it perpetuates a double standard of so-called "journalism."

When a Democrat does something wrong, this blog calls for federal and divine intervention in running said person out of town. Because of the bad acts of one, the rest are painted by the same brush. (Patrice Abdullah, Frank Anderson, Monroe Gray, Ron Gibson, pick a Mahern, etc.)

When a Republican, typically the Mayor, does something bone-headed, all this blog shows us is a dispassionate accounting of the facts (Brizzi, Hinkle, Durham, Plowman, Goldsmith, Daniels, etc.)

This is literally one of the biggest F-ups in IMPD history on top of one of the worse cases in IMPD history. Brizzi's bad acts were borderline historic.

Yet, nary a critical word of any of them. The D's listed above were idiotic; the Rs above broke the law. Big difference.

I understand that this is a partisan site, but a little consistency would be nice. If you are going to accuse the Ds of being incompetent, then you have to point the finger your own way sometimes.

OMG, why would the FOP bring back Cottey sh*t just just got corrupt real. This isn't about Bisard, Wells, or all the other victims, It's about who wields the power.

Abdul, one of the sad points of this whole mess is the fact that this issue will now be Ballards Legacy. He has been abel to do some great things for our city. However, this wil become what he is known for.Forever, Ballard will be the man that destroyed the IMPD and told the public that they can go to hell.He does not care what they think.Very sad that after two terms and lots of great things, this is his legacy.IM really not sure why Ballard goes to the wall for this scumbag.

The day after the Super Bowl, Ballard could have been elected Mayor for life.Today, he is the least respected man in Indy.Abdul, there is simply not enough lipstick in the world to cover up this pig of an issue.

I dont believe in coincidences, however..is it not coincidental that this screw-up was found the day Before the hearing on whether to keep this man? Who is to say that it was not in fact engineered either by this man or someone in his employee?

I welcome the FBI's investigation.

Abdul,
Just think this story could have been yours, if you were not protecting Straub! I tried to tell you a week ago to start a series of reports on Straub's mismanagement. This is the biggest thing for Indy police since the 70's FBI investigation into corruption. Now Straub has had a chance to put his flunkies on the altar instead of him owning up to his own incompetence. Abdul, I hate to be an “I told you so”, but I TOLD YOU SO!
