I think this might be the first Indiana GOP U.S. Senate primary attack ad. John Hostettler goes after Dan Coats.

Hoestettler just provided Ellsworth with needed ammunition if it turns out he needs it, Not so sure that he didn't spend money for nothing on that one. I'd rather they just debate.

The Senate then and the Senate now are two far different places. There was a time when the prevailing opinion was that the President deserved to get his Supreme Court nominations through. The vote on Ginsberg was 96-3!

Agreed. The “different” state of the senate is what got a Republican elected to replace Ted Kennedy. It used to be that something as drastic as gov't takeover of 1/6 of the economy would create legislation sufficiently mainstream to garner at least a single vote from the opposition. Apparently, it's now fair game if you perceive “right” to be upon your side, to do anything to achieve your goal. I guess that would include opposition to Supreme Court nominees.
Or, should we create legislation and nominees sufficiently within the ideological center, so as to get at least some support from both sides?
That would require less polarization in our country politically. Are we up for that?
