Looks like Andy Gammill (aka "the tipster") is thinking of scrapping working at the Star for law school.

Maybe this incident has had a positive effect!

Taxpayer: the short answer is, "no."

A couple of points about the Public Access Counselor and the Open Door law:

The PAC was created under Govs. Bayh and O'Bannon, to monitor the public's access to public records and meetings. The Open Door Law, passed in 1976, only governs official meetings of the governing body. The IPS forum in question was not a School Board meeting, or an official committee of the board, so it's not covered by the Open Door Law.

Not that they should blatantly ignore common sense, which they did. Their spokesperson took it upon herself, if we believe the video, to blatantly ignore common sense, and throw out persons whose motives she did not understand or appreciate. From all appearances, they were quiet, not disturbing anyone, and from Michigan.

Any claim regarding "outsiders" is reduced, because through the veins of every school corproation, there flows an ample mix of local, state and federal money. We all have a right to enter public school buildings, at appropriate times, particularly for a public forum. If we don't violate any other policies, and if we're observant of rules, we have a right to be there.

This arrogant spokesperson/chippee is paid with our money, and she dissed the videographers on our dime. She should've been fired. In GeneWorld, she probably got a commendation and a raise.

And so it goes.

How will school board elections take care of employees? The only two board members who ever spoke up against White's corruption are not running for re-election. The worst of the bunch are running for re-election uncontested.

As citizens of Indianapolis, we should be ashamed.
