I agree Becky Williams was part of the problem in the sense of Township gov't. But, based on listening to her experience and descriptions of where the wheels can fall off the assessment/property tax wagon, I only wish our President had that much experience.
.
Another, "Aye!", to no Public Safety Director.

Ding...ding...give TA a prize.

Commenting further on government...

It's rare indeed when government can actually deliver -- in a cost-effective manner -- on what it promises. Then again, how much of what government is actually involved with is actually within its Constitutional purview ???

I ask again: why do we even need a public safety director? Just have the chiefs report directly to the mayor. Another layer of govt. is NOT what we need, especially at this cost.

Am I missing something here?

You mean the White Plains connection? The same guy that went against the city councils resolutions. If so, it will be another mayberry public safety fix. This guy has no clue how to run a major Fire dept let alone fire and police. Thats why there are problems in IFD now. Just wait till the lawrence twp mess heats up. wow

Pascal has it right. Only those who desire the coddling of "special access" look to government or politicians for oxymoronic notions of "job creation," business folks hear it as the punch line to a joke.

If politicians could actually create and sustain economically viable jobs then maybe yesterday would have been a good time to demonstrate this ability. Or, Tomorrow. But, since they cannot do so today, yesterday, or tomorrow, why not end the LIES that they can? Really, only serious fools think that by electing other fools that jobs will be created. Governments destroy jobs just as parasites destroy hosts. Judge Kennedy on her merits, if any, not on some phony myths of job creations. The next political liar who touts his job creation ability ought to be made to put up or shut up and, in any case, withdraw any support for him or her for the reason being an incapacity to speak truth.
