Brizzi’s Honor
I sat down this afternoon with Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi and spoke to him about his relationship with local financier Tim Durham, who is under investigation for running an alleged Ponzi scheme. The interview will be broadcast tomorrow at 8:10 a.m. on Newstalk 1430, WXNT-AM. It will also be available for download here as well by 9 a.m.
Included in the conversation were discussions about Brizzi’s decision to sit on the board of Fair Financial, whether he will return any money donated by Durham, the impact on whether he will run for re-election, and whether the two have spoken since the investigation became public.
I think you’ll find it interesting. Listen in if you can.

so who will the Republicans nominate to run for Marion County Prosecutor in 2010?
Brizzi seems to be toast…

Mark Massa?

I'm still waiting for the atheists, witches and Satan worshippers to sue IPS… and the federal Title One offices to come down on them for buying lunch for teachers and more info about bus drivers who take students to do shoplifting instead of taking them back to their school…Real credible news and news sources.

Please post the interview on your blog for people who will not be able to listen on the radio.

he really is toast. a colossal and egregious lack of judgement on his part. we can and should expect more of our elected officials.

What's really refreshing here is the fact that Brizzi as a good republican did respond with an interview. Good for you Abdul I'm glad you got that interview. You are the only person in the local media who would give Carl a fair shake. Brizzi shows real class by sitting down with you and answering your questions man to man. That’s much different than the norm in Indy.
The interviews we normally get which are related to inferred corruption and usually from a democrat, are more like the one we received a month ago.
Of course I'm referring to Democrat Congressman from the 7th Andre Carson accepting thousands from an alleged thief and him not having the backbone to answer media questions personally. Instead of Carson manning up, Carson sends in his staff (who are paid with taxpayer funds) to speak for him….but then again…. isn't it always his staff who deal with the tough questions and make the tough decisions for him?

Ernie, if staff decision-making is your measure of good public servants, there are ample Republican examples of incompetence backed up by staff
As in the incumbent Mayor. And Sec. of State., who combines his nonsense with foreign trips. And Lieutenant Governor. More than a few legislators. And the champion goof of all, Dan Burton. His staff often backs him up…at least the male staff does. The female staff is too busy….ah forget it.
Neither party owns the franchise on IIO (incompetence in office).

TA,
This is the way it works. If a Democrat elected official commits jaywalking, IndyErnie will shout at the top of his voice that the Democrat needs to resign in disgrace. If a Republican elected official commits murder, however, IndyErnie will complain about other Republicans pointing out that the elected official has committed murder. He'd rather that we just look the other way.

Well, Paul. I guess he's free to do that. It limits credibility, but hey, it's a free country.
But why does he hate Andre Carson so much? I opposed Andre in the first round of caucuses. But he has worked hard and impressed me since. And let's face it, he's there until he wants to leave, or unless he does something incredibly stupid. Which won't happen.

I don't know of any local republican who has committed murder Paul…if you have the information I suggest that you contact the authorities.
TA I DON'T HATE CARSON, I just think that he's lazy and dumber than a box of rocks. He's also a buffoon and no better than a playground bully. He isn't worthy of the title in which he holds.

TA I would rather have a Congressperson who is that least as smart as the brightest member of his staff…is that asking too much?
In Carson's case…. his receptionist has more on the ball than he.

Actually his interns are more connected to the desires and needs of his constituents and the building janitor is an Einstein compared to Carson.

No one said Deborah Jeane Palfrey was murdered.
