Who’s Who?

Okay guys,  I’m compiling my list of who is running for what.  We know it’s only going to get worse before it gets better so feel to pile on right now.   Whether it’s the U.S. Senate or some useless township office, it doesn’t matter.  Have at it.

  • Rico

How about Barack Obama for Supreme Leader? huh? huh?

……….Oh, and Doris Minton-McNeil for mayor.

  • Think Again

I'm running for the County Line. Chasing Rico all the way–trying to knock some sense into him.

    A fool's errand, I know, but I gotta try.

  • Rico

What other kind of errand would a fool run? And in order to run anywhere, one must first get his butt off the couch, quit stuffing his face with Funyuns, and turn off American Idol reruns. Good luck with that!

  • Think Again

I don't own a couch. Several nice leather chairs in the Living Room. Don't know what Funyuns are…vegetarian here. And I've never seen American Idol, although I'm a huge fan of some of its alumni's songs.

    But thanks for stopping by.

  • IndyErnie

    A Vegi? That figures.

  • Rico

Doesn't surprise me either……Not that there's anything wrong with that…….

  • Think Again

Relatively new to the vegi thing. It was a matter of necessity. Stomach cancer in 2002. Likely chemically-induced, as in beef/other food chemicals. I miss red meat powerfully, tho.

Operative words, “..it doesn't matter”. TweedleDumb and TweedleDee are the median choices.

    Abbie,

I got one you have not heard. (or you have heard and ignored).

In light of the CIB/Lucas Oil/Conseco fiasco, the NFL is reconsidering Indianapolis for the 2012 Superbowl.

Go ahead. Make some calls, follow up with your contacts and let us know if this is valid.

  • JonSIndy

    I call shenanigans.

  • Think Again

Guest–SUper Bowl choices aren't “reconsidered” because of local politics, or there'd never be a host city.

Every single Super Bowl since the first, has been the subject of some local controversy. Dallas, next year's host, is feuding with Jerry Jones about his request for property tax reductions for the over-the-top palace he built (albeit with his OWN money, to a large degree).

However, in most cities, contingency plans are made should the host stadium be unavailable due to emergencies or unforeseen circumstances. It's part of the bid package.

The CIB hubbub, while grist for the local political mill, is run-of-the-mill for the NFL.

    Conspiracy theory-type logic notwithstanding.
