See What I Have to Deal With
I got this e-mail (unedited) the other day following a discussion on the morning show regarding race and America’s growing minority population.
Yes it will be a great day when the minorities are in power. Let’s say that it’s 51% black and hispanic to 49% caucasian. The 51 percent will consist of 30 percent hispanic of which only half will be speaking english. The other 21 percent of the equasion will consist of blacks and of those only half will have an education past high school and the other half will be living of the government. The overall big picture though consist of a country that is no longer Christian but Muslim and sharia law is the ruling factor. So it won’t really matter what race is in charge we’ll all be screwed like Europe is. Damn those crusaders.
This was my response…
Don’t worry , I’ll be in charge and you can address me as Dr. Zaius!

Your scared letter writer should be eternally grateful for all those pesky Hispanics in Indiana — Sharia Law was expelled from Spain around 1250 A.D. and Islam has never really been a major force in the Latino community.

This is yet just another example of the racism and bias toward people of other races, ethnic backgrounds or religions…..sometimes Indiana is a scary place

Yes….and your question is???
July 18th, 2009 at 2:51 pm
The email writer doesn't seem to know the difference between ethnicity and race. Most hispanics are actually white.
As far as the Hispanic invasiion, I thank Mexico every day for sending us Salma Hayak. Hopefully they have more like her they can send us.

The lovely, talented and compassionate Salma Hayek might not be the best example in this context. Her Dad's family was Arabic (like Mitch Daniels).
Most Hispanics actually tend to be mostly Native American (Indian) with some “white” Spanish/European. While some Hoosiers in Indiana are fulminating about “illegal aliens” taking over the state, I see them as Indians slowly returning but speaking Spanish nowadays!

I thank Mexico for Frida Kahlo also!!!
July 18th, 2009 at 4:27 pm
True, Wilson, but Salma fortunately looks nothing like Mitch Daniels. I attribute that to the Latino influence.
Can we credit Mexico for Eva Menendes? I mean Canada sends us women who look like Celine Dion. Granted we do appreciate Canadian Shania Twain, but she still lives in Canada.

No, Dr. Zaius you don't have to put up with that, use the delete button on your interweb. Personally, I think those kinda wackaloons are entertaining, that's why I listen to Hannity, Ingram & the rest of hate radio. I rarely laugh with them but I aleays laugh at them. Of course this is also a good reason to hire the handicapped.

I'm guessing that the writer is one of the 50% who didn't complete high school. Just a guess, mind you.

I think it will be a great day when the Caucasian race are in the minority. Maybe then we can have a White Expro with tax support from the city and State. Maybe then we can get special treatment from the City of Indianapolis on awarding contracts. Remember that you get special consideration if you are a minority, female owner of a business in this city.
Maybe you will read in the paper media White instead of the first black to did something. So you see Abul, it will not be that bad when the Caucasian race becomes the minority.

Nightstick: I'm guessing third grade.
July 19th, 2009 at 7:27 am
You are so ignorant of the facts. You want minority contracts…that amounts to less than 10%. The rest are majority contractors…….be careful, what you wish for……Many groups have festivals to celebrate their heritage. Most are white. The Irish Festival, The Greek Festival, The Italian Festival, The Hispanic Festival, the German Octoberfest and even Gay Pride. All people are welcome to all of these as they are at Black Expo. You only bring out your hood and robe for Black Expo. Go to your klan meeting and get over it.

Even so, would it be a McGuffy 3rd grade or an Indiana democrat party 3rd grade? Nice to see Marva Collins in the Star. Successful instructor. How often do you ever see that adjective?

I'm confused – what was the question again?

That's nothing, Abdul. Take a look at what Obama has to deal with :)
This video was posted yesterday on Youtube in 6 parts. It was filmed at the National Press Club alleging Obama crack cocaine and gay sex. I recommend that you record a copy of each part now if you want to watch the whole thing, before Youtube pulls it:

Hey I have an idea. What about giving ALL contracts based on the best company that can do the job at bids a resonable price?
Lets get race and gender out of it.

While I philosophically agree with contract awarding being color-blind, the reality is that it is a necessary evil on the construction side of government contracting (for now) because of the limited relationships many minority contractors have with the large contractors. I deal with the contractors on occassion for infrastructure projects and, if it weren't for the women or minority contractor requirements for that contract, they wouldn't use a woman- or minority-owned contracting company, mostly because the owners of those companies aren't well-known or are dealing with stereotypes that negatively impact their perception within the industry.
The minority contractor requirement reminds me of the affirmative action policies for college admissions that were a necessary evil until relatively recently; at some point in the future the saturation and inclusion rate of minority contractors will become great enough to make the policy unnecessary in practice. Until it reaches that point, however, those who are whining about it seem more motivated from bigotry/racism or the newly fomented WASP victimhood some of my Conservative brethren play to than from the altruism of best quality for best price.

That press conference happened during the campaign. I don't care if my president is bi-sexual or if he has done cocaine. I do care, however, that he tries to cover up who he really is.

http://tomroeser.com/ wherein some black problems are directly addressed. He does not address the IQ problem upon which ideology imposes silence upon science but, come to think of it, were science to address the issue wouldn't it just be dismissed or shouted down by non scientists? See The Bell Curve by Charles Murray and his Losing Ground wherein IPS is addressed in a footnote. I recur also to the Unheavenly City, a book that racists ought to read for alternative explanations for their own stupidity.

“minorities” need to start being the bigger person and have the courage to first treat themselves as if they are no different than anyone else, how can you expect people to not treat you as being different based on color if you are treating yourself different because of your color. “Minorities” have so many different organizations and events to promote being a “minority” but then want to be treated as if they are nothing different. Treat yourselves as if there is nothing different about you and so will everyone else.

So if I get your point right, if you speak out on something that seems like give the other side more of an advanage you are considered bigotry or racism? Let out President can sit in a church for years that preaches racism and everything is just fine. Could it be that you are just adressing an unfair program?

What in the name of God are you talking about??? or better yet what have you been smoking?

Nothing said in that posting could be interpreted as unique to Indiana. It could have been written anywhere in the country, and in many places, it most likely would have been a lot less polite.
