If The O cannot carry through what he promised the far left (ie paying their mortgages, putting gas in their cars, paying their bills, etc) the Dems will be vulnerable all the way down the ticket.

That is if the GOP in Indiana gets their act together.

I believe the Board fills its slot, Nora, but I'm not positive.

Silent Bob, if you really think 2010 will be a good year for th e GOP in this county, I've got a bridge in the desert for you. Puh-leeeze.

There's a lot of time to transpire, but again, real slowly: in this county, unless Democrats are fighting among themselves, Brizzi is the only hope, and I think he's worn out his welcome.

All you need as evidence of the county's base vote, is three words: Mary Catherine Barton. She got elected surveyor four years ago and she's basically the party's house nutcase.

Any word on GOP candidates for sheriff or prosecutor? It should be a decent year for the GOP, maybe we can sneak out 4 more years of holding the prosecutor office.

I can't figure out why the small claims court job is something over which Baker felt the need to resign, but his former assessor's job wasn't. Very strange.

With his leadership style gone, this board, for its remaining shelf life, which is over/under two years, should be a lot more pleasant meeting.

Ray Baker off the Washington Township Board!!!!! Abdul, why didn't your trumpeters herald this good news for all the serfs of Marion County to rejoice over! Some how, some way, sometimes...good does triumph over evil. Now let's get Shorty.

Oh for Christ's sake J. Doe, come up with something original, huh? If David O. wants to be prosecutor, he can be...and he'd be damned good at it, too. Go sell the Hannity-style talking points somewhere else.

Mr. Howard: no fine wine with Monroe. More like Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill with a screw-cap. Left open a few days in the back seat of a dusty old Mustang in the middle of summer.

I know that golf program--it's a good one, and it operates with some (not sure how much) donations. As I recall, and I could be wrong, the only city budget expense was the venue and the time of city parks employes who assisted.

I believe it is modeled on a national program Tiger Woods started.

As for Mr. Forrestal, the county party's vote strength will only continue in 2010, and whomever the Dems run, unless it's someone of Gray's caliber, will win, easily.

Only two Republicans have had the recent vote power to break that fact: Ballard and Brizzi.

Monroe Gray is like a fine wine that just keeps getting better with age unless its kept around uncorked, in which case it just gets worse every time you sample it.

Monroe... Put a cork in it.
