Much to my dislike I felt obligated to do some Christmas shopping. I was traveling to the south side so I stopped at Meijers on Southport Road. I had some groceries and about $300 in gifts in my cart. Unfortunately, despite the lines, the only thing available was do-it-yourself check-out (at least until 9a.m.), with 3 employees watching so that no one snatched a candy bar. So…..I and two other customers left ourstuff behind. Hum bug. Now to a store with real employees.

We have a $250 glass Tiffany bowl that was given to us as a wedding gift. It had cheap candy corn in it for Halloween. It has not been used since. I refuse to get rid of it – it’s Tiffany!

Abdul, I have been reminded that the bowl was worth every penny and the couch makes a nice bed. Note to self when drinking scotch and smoking cigars with Abdul remember to say “OFF THE RECORD” every 30 seconds or so….lol

Shouldn’t you also have gotten an Ove Glove with which to remove the lightbulb? Well, maybe you are not like the person in the commercial and YOU don’t change bulbs while they are still glowing hot.

Everyone in my family gets a $ 50.00 bill in a plain envelope and they all know I will get no where close to a mall. Of course, you do what ever your girlfriends tells you. So, enjoy the misery.

Abdul, I have a well feathered home stuffed with art, rugs and antiques. Anybody can use the towels and the soap is this nifty stuff that smells good and pumps out of a dispenser.

Abdul, you’re a wuss! You should have told your GF she was on her own and you’d see her when she got home!

What is amazing is how women, like my wife, can spend 2-3 hours in one or two stores and come home with an item or two. I don’t have the patience for that and that’s why she’s on her own when it comes to shopping.

I can tolerate grocery shopping as we usually have a list and know what we want and where the items are located. :^)
