President: McCain (nation wide by 5%
Indiana: McCain by less than 2%
Guv: Daniels by 11%
I have said all along that the national polls are way off, largely due to racism. People can’t tell the truth. I am a Republican but this is a sorry observation on America.
November 3rd, 2008 at 8:55 am
Dem’s will pickup 3 seats in the House.
November 3rd, 2008 at 8:58 am
1. Obama in an electoral landslide but only 52% of the popular vote.
2. McCain with barely over 50%.
3. Daniels by 8%.
4. Senate Dems pick up 8 seats.
5. House Dems pick up 17 seats.
6. In State Dems pick up a couple. Elrod’s for sure.
7. Township assessors go.
8. IPS ballot question wins simply because of the way it is worded. The poll workers have been trained to tell people to make sure to turn over the ballot. Many voters may not understand that they are voting for a tax increase.
November 3rd, 2008 at 9:19 am
1. Obama, 300 EV’s
2. McCain, 55%
3. Mitch by 13%
4. Senate, Dems pick up 5

November 3rd, 2008 at 10:32 am

2. McCain 53-55%
3.Slam dunk for Mitch 60%+++
4. Senate will be a push, no new seats for the D’s.
5. House same as #4, Dem’s might lose a seat.
6. State house Dem’s lose a seat.
7. Bye bye assessors.
8. IPS will have to look elsewhere.
November 3rd, 2008 at 10:34 am
Thanks to the media promotion of corporate candidates and a public who has been trained to follow instructions rather than to think, the Dem/GOP cabal wins all of the races with at least 95% of the vote.
.
Township assessors go, because they’ve been scapegoated as a means to begin elimination of voter control over local government. Those who are trained to follow rather than to understand will follow their wallets (aka their hearts) and vote their vote’s away by beginning the elimination of local government. FYI – I hate property taxes and I offer no support to those who choose property assessment as a career. My gripe is against those who use them as a scapegoat to begin the elimination of local representation. Collectivism and regional/district control of communities is contrary to a free and independent society.
.
And IPS is probably gonna get it’s money. Moist of the folks voting will expect someone else to foot the bill.
November 3rd, 2008 at 11:05 am

November 3rd, 2008 at 12:00 pm
1. Who wins the Presidency (Electoral votes and popular vote percentage)?
A. Obama, 375 Electoral Votes. He’ll have about a 6 point victory over McCain. (I prefer to pick the spread instead of the raw percentage total as third parties make the latter more difficult.)
2. Which Presidential candidate wins Indiana (popular vote percentage)?
A. Obama, by 4 points.
3. Who wins the Governor’s race (percentage)?
A. Daniels by 8 points.
4. How many seats do Democrats pick up in the U.S. Senate?
A. You mean the Republicans aren’t going to win the U.S. Senate? Okay, the Ds pick up 8 seats. That should give them a 59 vote working majority.
5. How many seats do Democrats pick up in the U.S. House?
A. Around 30
6. Does the Indiana State House of Representatives change?
A. Are you kidding? I have a better chance of being elected Pope. They won three races in 2006 by Republicans by 27 votes or less. Virtually every close race last time was a Republican beating a Democrat. I think we’ll lose 8 seats. It could actually be more.
7. Do the Township Assessors stay?
A. No.
8. Does IPS get $278,000,000 of your money?
A. I live outside of IPS and don’t follow the issue that closely. My hope would be “No.” I don’t understand why a district constantly losing students always needs more money. As far as AC in classrooms, here’s an idea. Wait until September to start school. Problem solved.

November 3rd, 2008 at 4:18 pm
Rush Limbaugh announced on his Radio Program today that he was in Indy yesterday and attended the Colts game. He met our law and order Mayor who gave him a Police Motorcyle Escort after the game to his private plane so he could return to Miama. Is this our new community policing in action? Why does Florida Citizen Limbaugh rank so high as to get a Police Motorcycle Escort? Pitiful!
November 3rd, 2008 at 5:37 pm
M/D. I totally agree with you. However, I have not seen anything from you about the center township governmental ethics that has apparently cost our taxpayers multi-millions.
Leaves your concerns about Rush a little hollow.
November 3rd, 2008 at 7:52 pm
Greg,
Didn’t you get the memo? Our Mayor has given away the center township ethics issue. We Republicans can’t make ethics an issue when we have our own ethics problems.
November 3rd, 2008 at 7:56 pm
Well Greg and Paul since I am not a Center Township resident I am not always up on the inner workings of either party over there. But my main position on unethical behavior by all politicians of all parties is to throw the bums out. I liked a firing squad but my advisors said that might be a little extreme. So since I bow to them, let’s just toss out any incumbent of any party in all elections until we get a crew that 1. is honest and 2. cares about how the people feel and their quality of life.
November 3rd, 2008 at 8:08 pm
You’re on it Mizzou Dem. Firing squad’s fine & “quality of life” means reality may be a mite short of that enchanted forest Senator Obama’s prancing through in Jib-Jab.
November 3rd, 2008 at 8:20 pm
taxpayer quality of life to me means carrying the poop to the waste water treatment plant better and having sidewalks, good schools, police and fire protection. quality of life does not mean, more amenities in food stamps, cash allowances, not working but getting paid by the government, etc. etc. etc.
November 3rd, 2008 at 9:02 pm
1. Obama 303-238…53%
2. McCain 52-47
3. Daniels with 55% of the vote…JLT gets some straight ticket, not enough to overcome six weeks off the air.
4. Dems pick up 4 seats in the Senate
5. Dems pick up 12 seats in the House.
6. 51D-48R-1L in the IN House
7. Adios assessors
8. Praying no, but what Dr. White wants, Dr. White gets
November 3rd, 2008 at 9:29 pm
Many of us of are of the same shrinking rank, differing mainly in some increasingly antiquated labels, compared to the ideologicless dreck that believe an economy will thrive just as long as it isn’t run by the _________ party. History says it’s not that easy.
November 3rd, 2008 at 9:35 pm
Chris, you are so right. Whatever Eugene wants, Eugene gets. Sadly.
Assessors–I have asked all my friends about this. I thought it was a sleeper issue, but folks know about it. Not one of the folks I asked wants to keep them. They’re gone, thankfully, by a huge margin. And maybe now we won’t have to worry about unqualified janitors assessing property.
Obama nationally 53-46, Electoral College-wise, he reaches 300. He loses Indiana narrowly.
Mitch wins Indiana 54-46.
Indiana House: 53-47 D. US House 276 D. US Senate 59D. With Bernie Sanders’s caucus vote, maybe the Senate Ds will grow a set and tell Joe Lieberman to take a long walk on a short pier.

1. Who wins the Presidency (Electoral votes and popular vote percentage)?
Obama 500+ – 80-20 popular vote
2. Which Presidential candidate wins Indiana (popular vote percentage)?

Jill Long Thompson – only 60% because the GOP keeps suppressing our votes.
4. How many seats do Democrats pick up in the U.S. Senate?
15
5. How many seats do Democrats pick up in the U.S. House?
75
6. Does the Indiana State House of Representatives change?
70-30 Democrat – because we need change
7. Do the Township Assessors stay?
Yes. It’s not their fault Republicans keep spending
8. Does IPS get $278,000,000 of your money?
It’s for the children.
