A word of advice to my Indiana GOP friends, you are going to have your work cut out for you in November. Fresh off his debate in Tennessee Democrat Barack Obama hit the Indiana State Fairgrounds and about 21,000 supporters.
His speech was pretty much standard with a couple new lines. He said he could take four more weeks of attacks by John McCain but America couldn’t take four more years of Bush policies. Obama also criticized opponents of government-involved health care, saying the people who usually complain about government health care are getting their health care from the government.
The crowd was electrified and extremely enthusaiastic for the candidate, of course the question is will that enthusaism last until Novemeber 4th. The crowd was encouraged to not wait until Election Day to vote but to vote as soon as possible.
The polls show Obama trailing McCain 2-5 points, but former State Democratic Chairman Robin Winston said polls would show Julia Carson running either tied or behind in her races and she pull off victories.
Jill Long Thompson, Democratic candidate for Governor, also took a shot at Governor Daniels. Saying his economic policies, along with John McCain and George W. Bush were right out The Three Stooges. JLT is hoping to ride the Obama coattails to victory, but says she can win Indiana even if Obama loses.
There was bit of excitement during the Obama address. A man had to be escorted from the crowd after shouting “stop the New World Order.”
The fact that 21,000 people came out on a rainy Wednesday afternoon to see a Democratic Presidential candidate in Indiana clearly shows this state is in play and on Election night, we may not know for a while who Hoosiers decide to pick for President.

I got there fairly early and have to say it was a large crowd…Probably somewhere between the 10,000 and 21,000…And I did see 3 school buses pull up but those were the only buses I saw. The crowd was very diverse. Even a lot of (gasp) white males which was a shock to me…I thought most of the white males in Hoosierland were fatheaded redneck Republicans. We laughed about and enjoyed sitting in the middle of a sea of “dems” and “libs”. A good time was had by all.

The latest voter registration numbers for Marion County. Based upon a reported number of registered voters for this election, 677,401, there are more registered voters in Marion County than the actual number of people of voting age. According to STATSIndiana, In 2007, Indianapolis/Marion County had an estimated population of 876,804. Of that number 232,607 were below 18 years of age, for a total of 644,197 people in Marion County/Indianapolis over 18 and thus eligible to vote. (Indiana allows felons to vote as long as they are not incarcerated). So we have 644,197 people eligible to be registered in Marion County/Indianapolis, and 677,401 people registered. Congratulations go to Indianapolis for having 105% of its residents registered!

Both parties have out lived their usefulness and do nothing except point fingers at each other which has just led to increased polarization in this country.
Over the past 6 months I have lost hope in my so called leaders to come up with real solutions to real problems in this country.
Both of these candidates fall into that category.

Inquiring Mind: the population figures you cite do not include minors. Never have.
However, the number of registered voters does seem to be high, I’ll give you that.
Here’s what often happens in Marion County, going back 30 years or more:
Field registrations are completed and handed in, byb hundreds of thousands of volunteers,and those names are added to the list, without cross-checking to see if they’re already registered. Shortly before the election, a computer merge is done to reduce that number. You used to be able to transfer your registration if you’ve moved, but that’s nt the way most folks do it any more. They just re-register…so their names doesn’t come off the books at the old address until this merge is done.
And in this economy, if you think folks aren’t moving every six months, you haven’t been paying attention for about three years. I’d bet a good fifth of our voters are highly-mobile.
I stood behind a person at the license branch two weeks ago, who, when asked if she is registered, replied: “I’m not sure.” The clerk (re?)registered her. IF that person were already registered, the duplication wouldn’t be caught until the final merge.
If the registrars downtown merged those files daily, or regularly, it might be more helpful. But I don’t work there, and don’t know their workload, so I won’t criticize what I don’t know.
But, I can tell you this: there is not vote fraud in Marion County. Regardless what Todd Rokita wants you to bellieve. If you see it, or suspect it, run to the FBI…which you can do whenever there’s a federal office on the ballot. Because our county prosecutor won’t do a damned thing ayway.

They support a system that’s designed to manipulate the voters into supporting foreign wars, acceptance of an intentional economic depression, and eventual merger into an international system - all under their control.

The fact that neither Obama nor McCain are pointing at the intentional destruction of the economy by the Federal Reserve is proof positive for anyone with more than 90 IQ points that our national elections are rigged in favor of corporate globalists - on both sides of the media created political aisle.

The fact that hundreds of billions of dollars are being printed by the Fed for ciculation - with nothing to back them - is 100% proof that the candidates and the media are working against us rather than for us. ACORN Turns In 2,500 Fraudulent Voter Registrations In Lake County

It is absolutely unbelievable that ACORN, the supposed nonprofit group which operates as an extension of Obama’s presidential campaign, is permitted to register votes anywhere in the U.S. The Sun-Times reports that the group has turned in as many as 2,500 fraudulent voter registrations in Lake County, Indiana alone over the past two weeks. Abdon Pallasch writes:
As many as 21,000 Hoosiers turned out in the rain Wednesday to cheer on Barack Obama at the state fairgrounds.
But in Lake County, Ind., a nonprofit group Obama once represented as a lawyer, ACORN, filed an estimated 2,500 fraudulent voter registrations in the past two weeks, county election officials say.
Indianapolis and Gary gave Obama his highest vote totals in the Indiana primary, along with college towns such as South Bend and Bloomington.
Lake County, as in other parts of the country, Obama backers say they have signed up thousands of voters inspired by Obama. ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, has participated in many of those registration drives. Some Republicans have charged that ACORN members engage in vote fraud. In Las Vegas, federal officials raided ACORN’s offices Tuesday as part of a vote-fraud investigation.
Here’s the part of the story I like. ACORN registered a “Mr. Johns Jimmy” at the address of a Jimmy John’s in Crown Point:
In Lake County, 18,000 new voters have registered in the last two weeks, about 5,000 of them signed up by ACORN, said Ruthann Hoagland, of the county’s board of elections. As they started making verification calls on the ACORN registrations, employees found about half were false, she said. One was for a Mr. Johns Jimmy at the address of a Jimmy John’s sandwich shop in Crown Point. Some registrants were dead.
Hoagland said one ACORN official told her that the employees who filed the fraudulent registrations have been fired. ACORN officials could not be reached for comment. Republican officials have taken the issue to federal court.
The story notes Obama’s long-standing ties with the group:
Obama successfully represented ACORN in Chicago in its effort to protect the law that allows people to register to vote when they get their driver’s licenses. Obama’s campaign had no comment on ACORN’s current difficulties.

I was at the rally. I too was surprised, but glad to see all of the diversity.
Democracy was in action because the individual who did protest was exercising his first amendment right which is afforded him by the constitution.
What has been really unfortunate about this whole election is that people seem to make it their agenda to bring down someone who has ideas that don’t go with the norm. I’m sure he’s not the only person in politics who has had associations that they may or may not be proud of.

The simple fact of the matter is that liberals(and Democrats, to a slightly lesser degree) don’t care about character. Both parties have scumbags; the GOP punishes theirs, the Dems elevate theirs. Libs don’t care that Obama associates and is mentored by people who hate this country. They don’t care that he thinks it’s okay to kill babies who survive an abortion. They don’t care that his citizenship is questionable. He is a closed book–they don’t care!

Rico - in case you haven’t noticed, the media has been covering up McCains guilty associations, rather than broadcasting them as you claim. And the McCain guilt isn’t a mere allegation, like the one used against Obama. McCain has donations on record from illegal international arms dealers, yet Mum’s the word from CNN, AB-CIA, and FOX. The wife of illegal international arms dealer Pierre Falcon - on trial now in Paris for supplying the CIA led war in Angola (aka ‘The Secret War’) - donated thousands of dollars to McCain when the couple lived in Arizona at the height of the war.

So, was Obama associated with Weather Underground members? Probably. You don’t get selected by corporate finance to be head deceiver of America by being a goody-two-shoes. The White House suggestion to purchase the banks doesn’t make us bank owners. It’s simply a clever ploy by the banks themselves. They’ve controlled our White House for decades - now they have an opportunity to make their complete take-over appear legitimate. They place their people in the White Hoiuse, and then have their people represent “us” once the merger is complete. They’re still 100% in control, corporatism (a version of fascism with corporate finance controlling the government) is official, and the media keeps the people uninformed of what really happened.

Now you understand why public schools are directed by the Dept of Education to replace legitimate courses with social programming - if they want to receive funding. Students who can apply logic and who’ve been trained to intuit (rather than listen and follow rules) would rise up against such an obvious takeover. Now for some local news. It seems that Paul Bateman has been replaced on the ethic committee. The new members are as follows: Brian Mahern, Jose Evans and Mary Moriarty Adams. Our own Ginny Cain will still be one of the chair persons. There is also some discussion of getting a resolution passed that would add one more member. That member would be from the majority party.

The US must be on par with Haiti if you’re a globalist. That’s why the GOP/Dem cabal is eliminating our economic system. I’m onboard for both parties being more concerned about power and greed than citizens, and outright or reluctant compliance with global banking interests. My dumb question again, How do they make more money off an America in economic collapse than one that has the capital to use the spectrum of banking services? They take their “bailout” and move on to greener pastures in China, India, or whatever? The global convergence of interest reduction is to protect countries still making profits for banks, versus any care for the withering? If so, it appears we will remain indirect beneficiaries, because it appears we drag everyone else down with us. Therefore, global banking reluctantly still has interest in U.S. survivial? What a delight to ponder this stuff.

The answer with regards to profit motive of banks is this: It’s not about profit. It’s about control. When you’ve amassed a furtune of billions, at a personal level what difference does it make to have $1 Billion in your pocket v. $10 Billion? There’s no difference.

My point is that the planned action of economic globalizition is ideologically based. Money isn’t the goal. It’s the tool. The goal is control. We’ve been conditioned to think and rationalize based upon what our media and culture has been conditioned us to believe. We think things like “Banks are for profit. When a banking institution does something, the motive is profit. Therefore, understanding the motive means recognizing the profit incentive. If profit is not present, the bank must not intend on the result.”

When we can expand our thinking beyond the conditioned response (ie: consider bank activity with no preconceptions, only with action:result) we can start to understand what is happening. Apply the same thinking to anything - your relationships, the federal government etc - and you’ll soon see that you livre in an entirely different reality than you used to “believe in”.

Ok. I’m speculating that this could be “good news”. If it’s not a matter of who’s richest, but who’s in charge, I argue that the winner (historically) is raw economics. Meaning, the finance cabal may want to be Kings of the World just because of the intoxicaton of power, but sooner or later civilizations crumble if there aren’t sound economics. My truly feeble understanding of the Roman Empire is that they were overextended in distributing benefits and lacked more preyable lands to keep the cycle moving, not that they strictly declined from a preoccupation with control, but from the byproduct of that control. If there are economic “puppetmasters”, I hope the intellect they harness on finance will make them eventually realize they have an interest in sustainable economies, or they can’t sustain the opulence to which they’re accustomed. I think this gets back to somebody like Maslow, but trump is survival and this cartel has better chances on more than just “surviving” with thriving economies, not withered decimated ones they completely control.
I don’t recommend voting for Senator McCain because he would be a great leader. He’s the lest apt to lead us to the mega-government, monospeak I forsee from the convergance of our bipartisan ecomonic crash, being stigmatized by past slavery, and the fourth estate in the tank. Somebody explain to me what domestic “check” there will be for Senator Obama? Congress? Media? Supreme Court?(not for long), 2012 election? Unlikely with growing nationalization and entitlement supporters. This scenario won’t be the case for McCain. However ideologically pure, a vote for even lesser candidates nets a vote for Obama. Despite the wretched Bush Presidency, not a prospect I think we want.
