Thanks for the assist.  And remember, all well-thought out opinions are welcome here.

Two prominent political parties (who shall remain nameless) have officially decided to change to "The Skunks" and "The Weasels" (respectively). Does that help anybody's decisions?

Well that's a hard one. I once considered myself a die hard right wing Republican! But when I was up at my parents for the 4th of July my two brothers stated that I was a liberal for fighting for good causes! Damn that set me back! My oldest brother is a lawyer and my younger brother is a pharmacist and it seemed that they have sold out and taken the money from the establishment. I guess I am a damn liberal so Barrack (change, change change) has to be the guy I'll vote for. 50 and a liberal Democrat. Don't tell Plowman my councilman!

I'd have to say I relate most with the Libertarian's, although I'm not a huge fan of Bob Barr.

When the republican party stood for fiscal conservatism ans small government, I was a very engaged member. Now that they have abrogated that stance, I have just become disenfrancised. The Democrat or Republican label has become to mean the same thing they both espouse government of the legislators, by the legislators, and for the lobbiests ratheer than the definition of Thomas Jefferson quote "government of the people, by the people and for the people". I'm looking for a wy to get back to the Jefferson definition of government.
