It’s a dog and pony show. Dimona has live nukes in complete violation of NNPT yet Obama is travelling there next week to get chummy with the bosses. Cyber security has turned into a battle for control of the internet by corporations in a bid to sell websites like cable subscriptions and control access/content. And if they were serious about bio-terror they’d have put the well known logical anthrax suspect on trial rather than ignoring him and focusing on an innocent man, who ended up being vindicated last month with a multi-million dollar settlement for his troubles.

The best thing that Americans can do for national security is to keep the corporate shills out of office and elect candidates who place the US Constitution and The People first, second and third in ALL matters. The fact that both McCain and Obama are cozying up to foreign leaders as part of their election politics should send a deafening message to the voters that we’re in for a boatload of additional trouble if we continue down the current path.

This country (per the former U.S. Comptroller of the Currency- David Walker, McQuistion on PBS, Senator Bayh, The Concord Coalition, etc.) is very, very deeply in debt. At current rates of spending, we can use our tax revenue only to pay-off loan debt in 5-10 years. No government programs. The question to our Presidential candidates: Where are you SPECIFICALLY going to find the money for your proposed government spending?

Which begs an even more important question: When a nations treasury is run by private finance, who is ultimately in control of the nation? What will the candidates do about THAT?

I found a couple. The one who is running for President is castigated by every mainstream media organization and every leading (aka corporate media promoted) pundit. From their perspective, they’re correct. They’ve already sold the farm and they’re profitting nicely. But for the average Joe/Jane who is concerned for their kids and grandkids, the pundits have sold out. If they ask the question, their well will run dry overnight.

Shorebreak, you’ve sized it up correctly by my account. ANd the presidential candidate you mention is, of course, Ron Paul….the ONLY candidate with the kahunas to discuss the Federal Reserve and other matters…like where our gold went.
