ZOELLER GETS AG NOD
Greg Zoeller won his party’s nomination by more than 1000 votes. Here’s why.
1. Jon Costas ran a campaign that was slow to get out of the gate.
2. Zoeller built a lot of good will over the years and worked his butt off.
3. Some County chairman had an axe to grind with the Governor.
4. The Ron Paul supporters who had an axe to grind with the State party.
At the end of the day, does it matter. It depends on your perspective. But a win is win.

Wait, did he win by a “margin” of 1000, or did he have over 1000 “total votes”?

I am so proud of the delegates for voting on qualifications and not geography. I think Mitch will be happy when he sees how hard Greg Zoeller will campaign for the entire state ticket.

Zoeller’s resounding victory is proof positive of the GOP’s faithful and their ability to “proof-read” a bad decision by their elected leader, Gov. Daniels. This is a trait that the Democratic party should look at and re-examine, as opposed to blindly accepting unqualified candidates, like the unlamented former city council D’s who got bounced last September. Remember D’s, just because you elected them doesnt mean they and their decisions are infallible..and sticking with them right or wrong, well..ask those D’s how unemployment is in governing. They have the time to tell you.
Finally, Zoeller should thank the Marion County GOP chair for his inability to think for himself and his counties’ delegates. People who have actually been in the trenches for years MAY have some insight as how to vote based upon their experience, as opposed to a year-old chair who has no clue on leadership and LEADING subordinates, instead of dictating to them. I imagine though, that in 2009 that lack of leadership issue will be corrected.

Yeah, but what are the Super delegates saying? Oh yeah, that’s right, that is only the Ds that have that stupid system.
