Watch Out

I’m taking a few days off to go play attorney in Missouri. In the meanwhile, I’m leaving the forum open for you guys and gals to talk about whatever floats your boat. Here are a couple things to watch out for while I’m out.

  • Watch for the GOP to select youth worker Gabrielle Campo as their likely nominee for the 7th Congressional District.
  • Watch for Andre Carson to head to Florida for a little fund-raising.
  • Watch for John McCain to charge $1,000 to have lunch with him on Tuesday here in Indianapolis.
  • Watch for IMPD to step up and get real aggressive in dealing with those open drug markets in some parts of the city.
  • Watch for a possible public apology, but no admission of guilt, from City-County Councilor Doris Minton-McNeill.
  • Watch for Marion County Democrats to stay internally disorganized while revolutionaries continue to plot against Marion County GOP Chairman Tom John.
  • Watch for this summer’s property tax protests to not be as big as last year’s.
  • Watch for the U.S. Supreme Court to split the difference on the 2nd Amendment saying the government can regulate firearms but not to the point of an outright ban. (This is my wild speculation because no one ever knows what the SCOTUS will do until they do it.)
  • Watch for me to chime in when I’m supposed to be taking a working vacation.

Hmmm - an apology with no admission of guilt.

    Isn’t that an oxymoron?

  2. rmann

no it is not an oxymoron. She can apologize for bad manners and behavior that do not rise to the level of a crime. Problem is in this city it has become a crime to be rude to a police officer.

I certainly HOPE this summer’s tax protests are MUCH larger than last year’s! Somewhere on here, I read (one time only!) about a protest at the Gov’s on July 4th again this year. Does anyone know where I can get more info about it? Who to contact for info? a general theme?, etc. I know several home owners that would like to go. Is it really going to happen? I think publicity can make it happen.

Its the economy stupid. Ya know this new Indy Mayor has been really silent with respect to economic project in Indy. I mean surrounding counties are adding jobs by the hundreds (see Medco, etc) and where’s Ballard. I mean he has the talented Nick Weber as Deputy Mayor of Economic Development and neither have been seen or heard from on this topic.

I like the list but your involvement is still good to keep people honest. Revolutionaries throw out those in charge because they do not serve the interests of the many but serve their own interests and usually resort to strong armed tactics like taxation, starvation or military force to name a few. History has shown that even successful oppression is short lived. This is true in government or business…..the better way to operate is with honesty and fairness. So many of us are unhappy with Tom John we would just like to see him leave, but if necessary then a fight it will be. He is a poor leader and is getting in the way of our progress on numerous levels.

Economic development in this administration is absent. They are worried about bums on the street. There is real estate to be developed, the white river needs to be cleaned up, businesses need to be brought in. Six months they probably just got through all the mess that was left, but they need to step up.

“Watch for this summer’s property tax protests to not be as big as last year’s.”
    -
Watch for them to be non-existent. Everyone hit the snooze button, and rolled over.
    -
The only pseudo-protests you will see, will be from fringe candidates, and their 2% milkers…

Sounds like everyone is happy as can be about their property tax bills. As for me, I’m not happy…but I’m not about to work as hard as I did last year for the same result.

People, I can’t think of a better way to show our patriotism. Our War for Independance began because people were fed up with being taxed to death. Our forefathers fought and won independence from tyrany. They were people of strong convictions. Now we are faced with the same terrible truths: unjust taxes leading us into a New World Order. The two political party system has emerged into ONE! One in which we are either the rulers or the surfs. There IS a better way. Please don’t let our forefathers down, come to the ralley at the Gov’s “pad” on July 4th at 10:00am.
