WOODY MYERS IN 100 WORDS
Woody Myers is a candidate for the 7th Congressional District
I want to be your next representative in the United States Congress. I have the energy, the enthusiasm and the experience to do an outstanding job for you and your family.
The values I acquired growing up in Indianapolis have allowed me to achieve and contribute for 30 years.
Education, jobs and healthcare are our highest priorities, and where we need new investment.
I have served Indianapolis as a physician at Wishard Hospital, Indiana as Health Commissioner, and I have served as the chief physician in our largest healthcare company.
Give me this opportunity: I will not let you down.

Are you running for congressor are you running for President against George Bush? Do you not realize how petty your campaign commercials sound?

*congress or*

This is to affirm my support of Dr. Woodrow Myers. Good job of getting your message to the people in the 7th.

Dr. Myers: I was personally happy to see the the Democrats had a candidate that was intelligent, not a flunky who never earned anything in his live but was given everything by his granny. That said: a congressional district is a myriad of diverse people who need representation. Your TV commercials portray you as a very divisive and anti-patriotic individual, who does not understand foreign relations nor military operations.
I have my Honorable Discharge from the Armed Forces proudly displayed on my wall. I understand military operations.
Why do you think you can represent a diverse district when your commercials are so very divisive, talking about ‘George Bush’s war?’
April 29th, 2008 at 9:28 am
The Democrats have been in power for a while with Nancy at the head of the pack. What are you going to do that is totally different. So far nothing has happened except rhetoric.
I also wonder why you left the practice of medicine for the practice of politics — Could it be no liability and possibly the pay is better.
I distrust career politicians.

Dr. Myers has clearly emerged as the candidate with the best chance to defeat the unqualified, uninspiring incumbent. It is fortunate that he is a bright, experienced, and articulate. If you want change for the 7th and have an active representative, Dr. Myers is the choice.

Dr. Myers needs an economic plan that can actually result in an expansion of manufacturing and service employment. Without a healthy business climate and overall economy, health care initiatives will go nowhere.
Furthermore, any education plan has to fearlessly put the students first, ahead of the teachers’ unions and other vested interests in the system.
April 29th, 2008 at 10:45 am
Dr. Myers, hello buddy. What types of initiatives are you ready to implement that will impact Marion County? You have public policy experience but you lack community experience. With the high rate of incarseration amongst African American out of a population of 100,000 blacks 4,784 are in prison, out of a population of 100,000 hispanics 3,378 are in prison. Out of a population of 100,000 white males 479 are in prison. What will you do if elected to congress to address this critical issue of not only the African American community but all these men and women who served their time and are released back in our community to become productive tax paying citizens? Lastly, explain to us why you missed out on an important forum to address the issue regarding the rentry issues? If you cannot address this issue, then you are not ready to be our congressional leader.

Woody needs to take note of what happens when Democrats rely on Republicans to get elected. If he doesn’t know (mainly because he wasn’t around), he should ask Steve Talley.

We have heard from Myers, Mays and David O. Where’s Carson? Wilson are going to submit something for Andre? How about the wife, she’s a real collage grad. I’m sure is can spell and type one hundred words. Pitiful representation in the 7Th. Carson doesn’t care.
April 29th, 2008 at 6:39 pm
My heart bleeds for the English language.
April 29th, 2008 at 6:50 pm
The anti-Bush rhetoric will play well in center township, but many in the 7th want to see actual substance in campaign advertisements.
I’m the first to admit that Dr. Myers will be more effective than any Carson could dream of being. The same could be said, however, of a three-toed sloth.

We don’t need more investment in education -IPS already spends way above the average.
We don’t need more investment in “jobs” - you done took all my money to build the Colts a new stadium.
The only thing we need to spend more money on is public safety - in the streets and in the schools - so people don’t have to get OUT of the doughnut just to live in peace.

ABC - Andy Jacobs hasn’t written it for sexist Andre yet, that’s why you don’t see it.

Wilson, didn’t Abdul ban you from this blog?
April 30th, 2008 at 11:39 am
No, Darla Y Williams, he didn’t ban me. Who died and made you queen of this blog, anyway?
Which reminds me, how is your own pitiful failure of a blog doing these days?
April 30th, 2008 at 11:47 am
Wilson: I’ve done my research and found the words I remember our blogmaster saying about you: “We all know Wilson trolls the Internet looking for unfavorable postings about members of his political party and attacks the critics as either racist or homophobic. I have known for a while that Wilson will not only post items under his name, but also use the identities of others. He will also post “hateful” or antagonistic comments under one identity so that he can come back a few minutes later and post as himself and call out the blogger for allowing such speech to show up on their website. You can’t debate issues on the merits so you engage in over the top personal attacks against yourself under the guise of others. I could delete Wilson’s comments from this blog, but like any insect he would just come back. Also, unlike Wilson, I have a very productive and active social life that does not allow me monitor this blog every waking day. So for now I’m just going to keep them up there so you can all see him for what he truly is.”
Sorry, Wilson, it was my recollection you were banned here as in other blogs. I stand corrected.

Isnt it amazing how fascinated that poor Darla Y Williams seems to be about me? Boiled any bunnies lately, Darla?
April 30th, 2008 at 2:00 pm
If Abdul wanted to prove it was Wilson posting under several different ID’s it would be VERY easy to do. IP packets have a wealth of information tied to them on their origins and any good IT person can decipher it.
Congratulations on hijacking yet another thread Wilson.

Where’s Andre?
April 30th, 2008 at 4:00 pm
Don’t thank me — thank that obsessed nutterball that is weirdly fascinated by me. She puts her personal quirks & quibbles ahead of your civilized political discussions.
.
As I too often have to say:
Good citizens discuss issues.
Good voters discuss candidates.
Obsessed weirdos discuss me.
April 30th, 2008 at 5:24 pm
Let’s see, I emailed Andre’s campaign a question this morning to see WHAT were the two bills he helped write that he talked about in the debate, I won’t hold my breathe waiting for an answer.
-
Woody all the way.
-
BTW, I just had a call from a pollster asking me if I made up my mind for Tuesday’s Primary (Nope), am I going to vote (Yep)
April 30th, 2008 at 11:30 pm
Woody continues his divisive campaign, now saying Bush is responsible for educational failure….
Woody, go back to San Francisco! -where you relate to their people. In Indiana, we want quality education and good schools, not some liberal rendition, where nobody fails, everyone moves up, no matter if you achieve the required standards or not!
No Child Left Behind is a LEFT-WING, LIBERAL FIASCO! No Child Left Behind must end!!! Truth need be taught, that if you don’t achieve the standard, you fail. You do NOT pass. It is not someone else’s fault that you did not do your homework, study, or pay attention.
Now I am convinced that Woody Myers is NOT for us!!!
…he is a left-wing extremest!!!

“Now I am convinced that Woody Myers is NOT for us!!! …he is a left-wing extremest!!!”
Is this not a Democratic Primary? This is a marriage made in heaven.

One ‘helped write’ was adding a single sentence to a 250 page bill (drafted as ‘Amendment 4′ which was then recorded as document 110-250).
The other ‘helped write’ I can’t locate at all. Of course, MOC’s can add their name to any bill they like, and get credit for being involved in it’s writing - whether or not they wrote anything on it beyond their own name.

All this stuff about Woody somehow, singlehandedly killing off the Patient’s Bill of Rights by providing testimony to Congress? Tsk, tsk.
Guess what, folks? Ms Julia, Bearer of Seed, voted against it, in the form of H.R.2563, the BIPARTISAN PATIENT PROTECTION ACT:

Yup, that was the final Republican version which had only 5 Democratic votes. Congresslady Carson was among the 202 Democrats that voted against this hopelessly adulterated version…
May 1st, 2008 at 5:13 pm
Well, that’s pretty sad that they’d all vote to do nothing at all rather than getting a start at reform then come back next time around and work to improve it. Perhaps it’s all about egos, posturing and power-plays, though.

Muckraker, You are in need of some help, let me assist you my love. Your beloved Republican President sign that piece of garbarge and now you are blamming the liberals. Here is a sugestion for you: “Prozac” and a biolermaker. Geeeessssss!
