“WISH” UPON A STAR?
There may be some good news for the Jill Long Thompson camp. A poll to be unveiled tonight by WISH-TV is expected to show JLT is leading her challenger Jim Schellinger in the Democratic primary race for Governor. This would be interesting because Schellinger has been on television longer than JLT and Schellinger has been considered the favorite son of Democratic insiders. Stay tuned.

Shel is Evan Bayh’s man. Bayh seems to be staking his political career on: Schel, Carson, and Clinton. In Lake County is still rocking from Clinton’s snub of East Chicago and Gary.

Jill Long-Thompson’s statement in her commercials is blatantly false and aimed at creating a false image. The toll road (state assets) was not “sold” to a foreign company. It was a 99 year PRE-PAID LEASE on the OPERATION of the road!! At the end of the term we get the road operation back and the state makes the money off of it. If the foreign corporation defaults on their terms of the lease we get the road operation back.
Any person who says this was “sale of state assets” is a liar, plain and simple. Anyone who would tell someone else that obviously thinks that the person they say it to must be completely stupid, and anyone who believes the road was “sold” IS a complete idiot.
