As we get into some serious campaigning here in Indiana there is something a lot of people need to remember. Democrats tend to vote for Democrats and Republicans tend to vote for Republicans.
I say this because of the polling data says a third of Hillary supporters won’t vote for Barack and about 25 percent of Barack supporters won’t vote for Hillary. With that said 65-percent of Hillary’s people and 74-percent of Barack’s WILL vote for the other candidate.
To date, about 30 million people have voted in Democratic primaries that includes Florida and Michigan. Hillary and Barack are about 15 million votes each. Using the previous mentioned numbers Barack gets about 22 million of Hillary’s supporters and he gets 15 million of hers.
Now this doesn’t mean those anti-Hillary or anti-Barack voters will all flock to McCain or stay home. But remember, there have been 30 million people who picked a Democratic ballot. That far exceeds the number of Republican primary voters. So even with defections, the odds favor Democrats.
Now don’t forget to vote.

If they won’t vote in the general for the other D, it makes you wonder if they are actually Demos at all, or just members of a personality cult.
By the way, unless I missed it, I’m surprised to have seen no discussion of Rex Rex’s book on your blog…great insights into politics in general, with a timely discussion of this exact problem which he attributes to the decline of the parties and the rise of the personality cult.

Um…ok…considering our nominating process has been over for how long?? And how many states including 3 of the 10 largest (OH, TX and PA)have not really factored into the GOP nominating process. No doubt Dems are more fired up…but i think there are a lot of votes in SW PA, and in the UP in Michigan and in places like Duluth, MN, where they aren’t going to vote for Obama and McCain can win those states. Have you ever worked on a national campaign or any race outside of Marion County.

When the term ‘racist’ is used so readily, it tends to lose its significance. That is a shame. Do you see how the so-called Revs. Sharpton and Jackson are so quick to use the word? They have diminished its meaning while further widening the racial divide.

What would you call police who open fired on a unarmed African American thus leashing out 50 round of bullets, or A white cop kicking a teenager who did not show any resistance to law enforcement during black expo. The suspicious death of a teenager named Micheal Taylor in the hands of a police officer. African American woman being dragged from her car and thrown to the ground by a state trooper. Rodney King etc. Wake up Rico43 and Jerry the mouse. We need Jesse and we definetly need brother Al Sharpton regardless of what you bigots have to say. Joe, reference the teenager at Expo, you’re badly in need of a legal lesson. Courts have long since stood behind police officer’s using necessary force to subdue a suspect given the totality of the circumstances. In fact, they don’t even have to use the minimum amount of force necessary to effect the arrest, they can use as much force as is necessary to safely control the criminal. With all due respect (which is to say not much), you should do some research before you make such hateful, divisive, and prejudicial statements. It makes you look naive and uneducated. Aside from that, your spelling and grammar are the weakest links… good bye.

Historically, a sworn affidavit with multiple eyewitnesses and photos of the suspect’s spittle and officer’s uniforms in various states of dishevelment is enough for a criminal conviction, unless of course the concerned clergy decides to threaten the city with a riot if they don’t get their way. You really need to bone up on your law as well as the facts of the case. We can certainly agree that the prosecutor is weak for catering to the court of a vocal-minority led public opinion instead of a court of law.
Oh, and he didn’t kick the kid in the head, he kicked him in the face. If you had done your homework you would know it wouldn’t matter, but then you’re more concerned with living in your version of the 19th century. Surely a man carrying a handle of ‘joe’ wouldn’t begrudge my request for anonymity. Would you prefer I was ‘john?’

Joe, he wasn’t handcuffed yet. Have you ever tried to handcuff a drunk drugged-up 16-year-old out past curfew? Unfortunately you seem to implement the same thought process as the people calling for officer Chappell’s job: it’s more an appeal for some kind of racial justice than it is an argument with any kind of legal grounds. If he’s guilty of a crime for subduing a violent suspect in the way he did, then half the department should be in jail or prison because they’ve all done the same thing. Would you like to know why? Because the defensive tactics manual says that’s the way it’s done. The same defensive tactics manual that was perused and approved by both the Chief’s legal office and city legal. How on earth you can garner from that video that the little scofflaw was already handcuffed is beyond me. Even if he was, handcuffs don’t glow in the dark so it would be exceedingly challenging to discern whether they were on or not even if they had been.
People that like to create racial strife where there isn’t any and speak in generalizations rife with hatred and bigotry are the problem (yes, you.) One of these days you’re going to look in the mirror and you’re going to realize that you have come to dislike what it is you see and what you’ve become. Just don’t be too hard on yourself when that happens and try to move on.

Real Funny: Anon 4:12, who wrote these procedures who is the author of these practices that is only meant for one purpose and one purpose only. There was an incident last summer in Lawrence Township, a armed man was seen branding a shot gun by the way his was a white man. How was this problem solve? Police came on the scene all weapons drawn, in stead of unloading real bullet, they made the decission to use an alternative deterent. Rubber bullet or bing bags. Yet on a wider scale unarmed African American are gun down like animals. Do you understand the logic and double standards law enforcement is promoting here. Do your research. Jon you are offended by my remarks about white america, I didn’t call you out of your name and sure as hell do not practice racial profiling. The truth shall set you free my friend so get use to it, call me racist, call me a bigot and doesn’t apply to me, for I am a child of God, and that is something you cannot take from me. White America needs to work on their attitude regarding people of color and our African American community will work on rebuilding our family structure.

If you had read my earlier post you would know who wrote the procedures because I told you. From what I’ve seen the only person trying to inject race into every nook and cranny of their daily life is you. Does that make you a racist? Oh, and we’re all children of God, or does only apply to those you see fit?
So one incident involving an armed guy with a shotgun proves the police are racist? Eh? One purpose and one purpose only, what’s that? If the police had itchy trigger fingers for black people there would be multiple police-action shootings at Expo every year. There aren’t. there’s your proof.

PS. Jon G, Not all white people are racist, if you followed my thread, I also stated that there where many of our white brother’s and sisters who died for Civil and human rights. Let’s be fair and not over react. I am a witness that their are good white people in our city as well as our Nation I grew up with them I played sports with them, and even go out to the sports bar for some shots and laughes etc. I have provoked dialouge in this discussion it is better to talk it out than to fight for misunderstandings. That being said, I am going to shoot some pool and throw some darts. I here there is a bar that has a dart board of Cheney and Bush, rounds are on me.
