Karen - here is something to keep in mind. The premier lobbying group in the US (not AIPAC), comprised of the leaders in finance, industry, media, education, and senior government officials, has recently begun advocating a new strategy to generate positive public opinion towards globalization. Among their key concerns are the fact that the general public - average middle class workers - are seeing their jobs and financial security head oversees as wages stagnate, in the face of rising inflation and a higher cost of living.
.
As a result, they have begun a new advocacy program that is designed to place globalization and it's negative impacts sqaurely on the table, and to create a public impression that the ill effects will be countered by new policy that protects Americans. The goals of globalization remain unchanged, yet the public image has been slated to receive a re-work in order to maintain it's support and to enable those who will implement it to remain in public favor.
.
That's the reason for the flip-flop. Elected officials and candidates who follow these policy advocations are making them a part of their platform in order to entice voters and to convince otherwise unaware citizens that real "change" towards retaining jobs and protecting family finances is on the table.
.
The following two links are a brief example of the kinds of recommendations that are being made, in order to create a public impression that economic security of the US and its citizens is being enhanced, while continuing to engage in further and more indepth globalization strategies:

It's really Interesting that Hillary's campaign ran a TV spot in Valpo about a Magnet factory that provied parts for our nations Defence Dept., shutting down and moving to China (another division of this company in Anderson also moved). Hillary LIED and said it was Bush that Did this....NO NO NO it was in 1995 when Bill Clinton refused to stop this sale!!! Evan Bayh was the most vocal critic of Clintons at the Time. The Editorials' flooded Valpo with the citizen outraged.
My question, why is Bayh covering for someone who backed NAFTRA and was their Staunchest Critic be LIEING FOR The CLINTON NOW!???!!

I don't have a crystal ball to see into the future. However, Hillary past has shown her lack of self-esteem by standing by her man. She also has not been held accountable for the 40 or was it 80 millions of dollars she spent on her Health Reform project when Bill was President. Oh! How soon we forget.
Obama's remark was the truth and you can't change it or dress it up. We can't expect any elected official to make any drastic changes without making some type of changes ourselves. When was the last time you felt empowered or motivated to be apart of something that definitely will be in the history books?

Does anyone actually believe anything a politician says while they are campaigning? All that mumbo-jumbo is, is them saying what they think you want to hear (but what is the true meaning of 'is'). A prime example is Bill Clinton talks about bringing manufacturing jobs back to the U.S. when he was the one who sent them away. Come on folks, get real.

I agree, that you should never vote for anyone who sat in the pews of a church or in a barn either while the leader, Preacher, or hooded kkk grand master spewed racist, hateful and anti American remarks. Can you imagine the news media taking anything out of context? How many people have not asked God to damn something in life? I'm sure the Clinton's discussed politics and if the ideas Hillary had while Bill was in office were plausable we would not be having this discussion now.

Glad to see so many intelligent superdelegates in Indiana supporting Hillary Clinton. She has tons of progressive ideas, plans to implement them and how to pay for them. Green energy, tons of jobs, incentives for businesses to keep good paying jobs in US, cut tax breaks for outsourcing, inner city rail, renewable energy, universal health care that everyone will have to pay into-so no one gets a free ride at the hospital and the rest of us end up paying for it. Go listen to her talk if you don't believe me.

The responsibility of the SuperDelegates by the way is to ensure the best qualified person gets the nomination in the event a candidate like Obama whose only claim to fame is Republican states with caucuses that disenfrachinse voters, are ripe for fraud which they have done and intimidation. If you have to cheat you must not be very good. And I would never vote for anyone who sat in the pews of a church for 20 years while their Reverend spewed racist, hateful and anti American remarks. Shame on anyone who condones this.

[...] I’m out of town today getting ready to meet with my accountant and vet out some tax issues. I really need to just have one job and be done with it. Either that or maybe the government should stop taking so much of my money, either way I’m out today, but I wanted to leave you with this thought about Indiana’s Super delegates.
The real action is going to be the May 6th Primary where candidates endorsing Barack Obama in the 7th Congressional District could benefit greatly.

This particulary applies to Dr. Woody Myers whoses chances of defeating Andre Carson in this primary are very good already.

Andre Carson had better endorse Barack Obama now because if he stays in the Clinton camp with Senator Even Bayhe the Barack Obama voters are going to electrocute Carson when they pull the handle in the voter booth on May 6th, 2008.

Carson is probably an Obama supporter, but he's financed by pro-Clinton Indiana Democrats right now, and he is trying to sit on a fencepost until he hopes he gets elected to replace his grandma in congress next Tuesday.

Super delegate: Someone who's been granted authority to over-rule the candidate chosen by the voters.

"Oh darn-it! I was reeeeally hoping that the super delegates would choose the person we actually voted for. Oh well, I guess they're the ones who get to choose. Must be nice.

now lemme see what's on ESPN..."
