WILL HE OR WON’T HE?
I’m hearing conflicting signals this afternoon over whether House Ways and Means Chairman Bill Crawford will hear SB 280, Marion County Government Consolidation. A House Democratic spokesman says it is on the calender for a hearing tomorrow at 9 a.m.
However, I’m hearing that Crawford is mad as hell over Mayor Greg Ballard’s testimony yesterday before the committee and as of two this afternoon told SB 280 proponents the bill was getting pulled.
So will he or won’t he hear government reform geared at promoting efficiency and saving the taxpayers money in the long run? I guess we’ll know first thing in the morning.

Mr. Crawford has presided over too many Dog and Pony shows and, like many of the long “serving” fools over there needs to be retired. Not just for being a fool but for bringing us this property tax mess. It is a total Legislative failure extending over many years.

This is just proof that Crawford has no interest in working for the people. WHAT ARE YOUR MOTIVES MR. CRAWFORD?

Yep. He needs to go. He’s outlived his usefulness.
(I am a Democrat. But this kind of tantrum, on either side of the aisle, is disgusting)
Reminds me of the late great Speaker J Roberts Daily, Republican of Muncie. He’d cruise the hall looking for arguments, and then kill your favored bill unless you agreed with his tirades. A real psycho.
And, for added emphasis, he had the reading clerk ask everyone to rise daily for the Pledge and Prayer, then walk in, as if the room was standing just for him. Pompous as hell.
Pompous is not pretty, and it is bipartisan.

You got that right….politics as usual!

Bill Crawford, like Bart and all the other TOSSED out in November are completely out of touch with what the city wants and needs.
Bill, save our state, resign.

He was ticked off because the Mayor of the largest city in Indiana had no idea what the heck he was doing or saying. That would tend to upset me as well.
Still waiting on a plan for economic development, life sciences, neighborhood development, sidewalks, sewers, arts, parks, greenways, abandoned houses, education reform, etc., etc….

Proud Indy Resident (aka blind democrat hack), Crawford is at the root of many of our problems. I guess you are either part of the solution, or as he has shown repeatedly, the problem. It will take months to untangle the mess your party left us in regarding the budget.

We’re already had one tantrum earlier this session with decimation of a Lobbyist reform bill. The senators were “offended” by testimony and the bill never made it to committee. This is a mighty thin-skinned bunch for seasoned politicians. Perhaps their temperments might be better suited for the private sector come next election. Ironically, unfortunately, they may just return as lobbyists.

Crawford needs to be fired and replaced.
.
Abu Henderson, the courageous citizen who spoke up at last summer’s CCC meeting about Patrice Abdullah’s illegal residency, has said he’s going to run against Bill Crawford.
.
Abu Henderson, a democratic precinct committeeman, is a wonderful activist and worked closely with us last summer. Long before he started networking with HOOSIERS FOR FAIR TAXATION, he was a neighborhood activist.

Abu Henderson has run for office and lost many times — not quite as many as Jocelyn Tandy but close! Frankly, Melyssa stands a better chance against Bill Crawford in that neighborhood than Abu does…

SB 0280 was killed today!

Mr. Crawford has put the lives of all Marion County residence at risk with the possible repercussion from his decision to pull the bill so who does he really care about?
