The People are looking for the real screws to turn when gov wants to spend like a sailor.
I want to see the constitutional limits in place.
A limit restricting the budget to the previous years + 1-3%. Not at an artificial inflation rate ballooning like real the estate industry turned into. Would reference the spreadsheet numbers but those links seem to be broke.
Marion co as a whole doubled tax levy since 2000. I imagine half of that increase can walk with a pink slip or whatever it looks like today. Freeze hiring without exception outside of first responders. Cost of Gov cannot increase so much in 7 years without some dirty places to put it.
