DID ACKLES JUMP OR WAS HE PUSHED?

You know by now that Marion County Coroner Ken Ackles has withdrawn his name from the race for coroner.  For those of you think Ackles is falling on his sword for the good of the party, you need to think again.  If anything, he got pushed on his sword about five or six times just to make sure he was politically dead.

From what I’ve been able to gather over the past few days, Democrats have been “urging” Ackles to get out of the race and they finally forced him out.  The coroner’s office has been nothing but an embarrassment for them since Ackles took over and the latest news is that he failed to pass mandatory state training, but still managed to garner a nice fat paycheck.

My Marion County Democratic friends and I may not agree on much, but it’s good to know they understand that self-preservation is the first law of politics.

Smart move guys.

  • Time for Indictment

    Let’s see: We taxpayers have to pay a six figure sum because “Bones” Ackles was found by a court of law guilty of RACIAL DISCRIMINATION. He’s guilty, but we pay.

    Now we’ve all known for a long time that “Bones” Ackles is also an ignorant man. That said, he demonstrated that he is incompetent and unfit for the office of Coroner by FAILING the required test of competency. In other words, he is prohibited by law from holding the office. I guess if he is prohibited by law from holding the office because he is incompetent, he did not have a choice but to drop out of the election.

    Now we have a bigger question. This question is for our lame Prosecutor, Carl Brizzi: “Bones” Ackles is incompetent to hold the office of Coroner. State Law says that if he fails the competency test, he MAY NOT ACCEPT MONEY for the job. “Bones” has received thousands of TAXPAYER dollars that state law says he cannot have. Mr. Brizzi, you are the Prosecutor. Are you going to charge “Bones” Ackles with the FELONY crimes of Official Misconduct and Theft? -or are you going to continue to maintain a bline eye as you have with the Monroe Gray GHOST EMPLOYMENT & Official Misconduct scandal???

    $40K for part-time botching of an important county job, is good money, as far as I’m concerned, Wilson. I’d think a retired township pensioner would think likewise, but maybe I’m wrong…

    This mess was Mike O’Connor’s fault and it was his job to make sure Ackles didn’t get slated. He’s a week late.

    Which sort of sums up his entire stewardship of the party. Pitiful.

    Add on the $400,000.00 settlement and it kicks up to $440,000.00 of the taxpayers money! Good riddance to this hack.

    If Ackles’ “part-time” salary rankles you. Take a look at Washington Township Trustee Frank Short’s sweet gig. His salary is @ $48,000/yr. to manage a township that no longer has a fire department to maintain. The trustee salary there is just a tad higher than what the former trustee got when there was a F.D to manage. Oh…and also…since Frank couldn’t possibly lower himself to live on that salary, he has hired a full time administrator who gets paid more than he does. That leaves Trustee Frank,plenty of time to pay attention to managing his lobbying firm and other attorney responsibilities.
