Good point Mr. Hinkle. Lets not forget about the $50,000 “raise” the sheriff received about the same time he changed his mind on the merger. Of course he “gave it back” after the media found out about it.

That should have read September 16th or 19th 2005. And I am sure channel 6, 8, and 13th still have video of that press conference.

You didn’t happen to run across the statement Sheriff Anderson put out Sept 16th or 19th prior to his press conference on one of those dates where he stated he was for collabration not consolidation.

And he named 10 items that should be consolidated. Including where IPD should conduct training. I am sure channel 6, 8, and 13 atill have tape of that press conference.

Keep this up Abdul and your going to get another house visit from the Detectives.

Keep fighting the good fight. It seems that some in government don’t like information in the hands of the citizens. My guess is that they would ban the internet as dangerous if they could.

You may also recall that Sheriff Anderson opposed the merger from the beginning. It was not until he worked out an agreement with then Mayor Bart Peterson, that seems to have benefited many of the upper management in the department, did he then get on board for consolidation.

Are not the strolls down memory lane fun??
