Give me a break, it's an outdated 80's joke - it's called humor. (or an outdated attempt at humor) If you get too wrapped up in forcing diversity everywhere, it looks like you can lose the ability to laugh.

Abdul, I get it--hyperbole--but famine-torn east Africa? That's beneath you. Besides, he who found the most, in many cases, still died.

Voted just before 9 in precinct 46 (precinct 57 was co-located there) in Pike. It was very quite with more poll workers outnumbering voters by at least 3 to 1. At that point, about 100 votes had been cast in each precinct.

varangianguard - that's a great point. Hopefully Abdul or Chris is keeping track of the callers. I guess it would be easy enough for one of us to listen in to the radio show and record an unscientific poll, well those of us who don't have to work.

Abdul,

If Ballard does win the election, and the cadre of corruption gets the boot, do we have to call you King Maker Shabazz?

Anybody keeping track of which precincts are having the most "battery" trouble? A post-election survey of the totality of the Marion County precincts might prove illuminating.

Some "Democratic" precincts seem to be working just fine, while its the M-K and Republican precincts that have moved or are using manually marked ballots.

My wife said that Precinct 67's machines weren't working either earlier this morning.

I'm doing my part here at work today - put a sign up reminding people to vote, bring their photo ID, and telling them how to find out where their polling location is. I can't endorse anyone in particular, but if people aren't voting then there's no chance at all that they will be choosing the right candidates for the job.
