Two-term Democrat Mayor Bart Peterson is officially behind Republican Greg Ballard in the polls. Our proof? Bart has just aired the first of what we expect to be a flurry of negative ads against Col. Greg Ballard attacking Greg's supposed lack of experience on things Bart holds in high regard (raising taxes 19 tax times, letting crime get out of control and of course protecting political friends like Monroe Gray). How about we let Bart Peterson and his Bartstitutes know that we don't want another one of his "plans" and we won't tolerate negative attacks on someone just because they happen to be telling the truth. Call 327-3601 (his office) every hour on the hour and tell him to stop his negative attacks. Well folks its official! It would be nice to see a comprehensive Ballard plan. He needs to recognize that crime fighting is only one of many issues facing the city. The only reason it got a remotely bad rap is because it was following the Wrath of Khan (far and away the best film of the set.) 3 was a lot better than 4 or 5, IMHO. Some might view it as "too far gone". Though it's not like Dr. White isn't trying. Dress code (or as some call it "school uniforms") is a step in the proper direction. The work of Mr. Jeffrey White out at Marshall - my ($DEITY), if we could clone Mr. White we should.
