Clothe the Poor, but Don’t Style Them
You may have heard the story today that about 500 IPS families went to the Center Township Trustee’s office seeking poor relief so they can afford to buy school uniforms. I’m all for helping the poor, but you have to ask what have these parents been doing all summer?
It’s not a new story that IPS students were going to have to be in uniform this year. There are a number of places where parents could get uniforms cheap. Pick a department store, dollar store or go to a Goodwill.
I’m not saying I would never help people in need, but I maintain most poor people are poor because they don’t know how to manage their money.
If they did, they wouldn’t be poor.

I’m not saying all the kids in IPS schools are bad and disruptive but it got pretty bad. Pants down to their legs with their boxers showing. You see, these kids don’t realize that style came from prison where they wear their pants low because they were someones punk. They wear them like that for quick access for ball bumping. Then you have the girls that dress like street walkers. No wonder so many men are meeting Chris Hanson. I’m glad IPS went to uniforms and wish all schools went that route.

Intersting that most of these “poor parents” make sure that their kid has a nice pair of $165 Nike shoes and a $55 hoody plus a few sets of boxer shorts that people see while their pants are down at the bottom of their ass.
What we have is a complete generation of lost souls. But as Amos Brown would say, “it’s a cultural thing”.

You may have also heard the story that Wayne Township Trustee David King Baird got $100,000 from Wayne Township taxpayers to buy school uniforms for “his” chill’n.

I’m tired of the failed social experiment that says that dysfunctional behavior is culturally acceptable. I desegregated a school corporation in semi-rural Indiana in the 60′s (house deseg–not bussing) and my parents (and the people in my old neighborhood…and the pastor…and the gray heads at church…and my old school principal from kindergarten, Mr. Otten) told me to excel in academics and character so I made it easier for the next crop that came through. They told me I had it in me.
I took them to heart.
By the way, a shout-out to Mt. Jack Otten, a white man, sent me a card for every milestone in my life (most recently when I achieved a business success).
These same people told me that if I was wearing it on my ass or it rusted it wasn’t an asset (I love that one to this day).
They told me that people could try to hold me back…then one would invariably mutter “I feel sorry for them.”
I’m where I am because of my choices, beliefs, actions and who I chose to listen to. Just like everybody else.

The news reported Carl Drummer, Center Township Trustee has issued 500 vouchers to recipients for Doris’ Outlet. Has this store returned to the Trustee’s Annex on Mass Avenue and Davidson Street? It was located there in a small space when Julia Carson was Center Township Trustee. J Carsons Boutique new name. She was getting kickbacks from the sales.
Just another sweetheart deal of the Ghetto Mafia. They closed the store right after Carson went to Congress in 1997 after inquiries were made about their connection to Carson.
Records showed they earned $1.5 Million between August and December each year from 1993, 1994, 1995,1996 from over-priced school clothing. Where is this store located presently?
It is clear the Carson and Drummer are still racking up the dough from the taxpayers under the the table.

Over 10 years ago Jocelyn Tandy requested thousands of pages of bookkeeping documents from Center Township concerning the clothing program. She found nothing. The Prosecutor wasnt interested. Even the GOP passed on her libelous charges. When you allege an innocent person has committed a crime, that’s called “libel” and has been so since before 1776.
On the Internet, it’s easy for the same old nonsense to be repeated endlessly very anonymously with no proof. Do you believe everything some anonymous nobody writes with no proof on blogs?

They’re also poor because they drop out of school, have babies without fathers, and spend what little they do have on cigarettes, booze, tattoos, and lottery tickets. I have been and IPD officer for 28 years, and we buy the family’s clothes at thrift stores. I can’t afford that expensive stuff. If my kids want a $100 pair of tennis shoes, they can mow lawns and earn the money themselves. (So far, neither of them has.)

Wilson you are wrong again.
Nothing libelous was filed in superior court requesting access to public records. Trustee emplyees complained publicly about Doris’ Outlet and the overpriced clothing sold to poor relief recipients. Julia Carson denied her access to the records the reason she had to file a lawsuit.
Jeff Modisett[D]served 1991-1994, he ignored any wrong doing by Julia Carson, Center Township Trustee at the time. Remember the 5th Ward Chairwoman, Charlotte Goode. They supported Modisett’s candidacy for prosecuter. He gave them street money to pass out for votes and introduced him to black voters and leaders.
Jeff Modisett and Bart Peterson were both former executive assistants to then governor Bayh.
The Democrats looked the other way then, just like they are doing now. The Ghetto Mafia rules in Center Township. The Democrat Party needs the black vote to win over a Republican candidate and they know it.
