Send Me Your Tax Bills
We all know about the disaster that is hitting Marion County taxpayers, but it would be nice to know just how bad it is. You can e-mail me at abdul@newstalk1430.com. Let me know how much your assessment increased as well as your bill. I want to talk about this next week. Someone has to start a revolution around here.

I cant see how incresing tax bills by 50-100% will benifit any Marion county residence. My tax bill went from 7300 to over 11000. Who is going to buy my house when many others are going to see high tax rates, for nothing to make up for the tax increases. The Mortgage comps that have residents on an already too large mortgag are to come up with additional funds to stay within their home without the additional increase in taxes. It seems like a no win situation. More folks are going to have to sell their homes to hope for a better area with less taxes, but with no one wanting to buy a house with a 11000 tax cost, the whole thing seems rediculous. How if I have a bill that goes from 7400 to over 11000, how will people pay that increse on taxes. Most on us live paycheck to paycheck trying to get by. It is a big blow for us an seemed will be a big blow for finiacial insitutions that have mortgage holders who simply will not be able to pay. What will this do to the available market to sell homes and wont it increse forclosure rates. How will local banks continue to keep their exisisting loans viable?
I wonder how this problem will be fixed, but I more concern myself with how this will impact our friends and families. Should we all move out of Marion County, hoping someone will come and let us get out of the properties we own and show us a way to have the life slyle we are accostomed to stay in tact. I am all for a revolution, and think this new tax hike has many more faucets of it that are not being made aware to the people. I will struggle, and most likely lose my beautiful home. Who is going to stand up and say this tax increse is too much and can potentianaly ruin our community?
