<description>Frank's actions are interesting, but he's within his rights. I'm a committeeman, and I will pay attention to this endorsement---in three years. Now, I'm a little busy with this year's election.

That being said...no race, no neighborhood, no gender or economic class owns the sheriff's office. Frank's endorsement will mean a lot to Mr. Forrestal, whom I've never met. His gender, race or status are not factors in the selection, nor should they be.

This "we own it" attitude is nonsense, and it will not be helpful. It diverts attention from our mission, which is the mayor's re-election.

No one should make any assumptions about how any race or gender or neighborhood should vote. Blackk and Proud is right about that. There are multiple constituencies which need input into endorsements. The black community is one of many.

<description>It's extraordinarily rare for a Republican candidate to get over 10% of the Black vote. Some desperate Black Republican will jump in with an isolated statistic from Nebraska, Idaho or somesuch but the general rule holds.

<description>Well, The Democrats have come out already for the next Sheriff's candidate? What happened to the slating process?

Let me tell you this, Forrestal is not black and Sheriff Anderson is not the leader of the black people or the Democrat Party. Neither is the Mayor.

Please everyone, stop telling the black person how to vote. We have a mind of our own. Now if we would just use it.
