I Can’t Leave You People Alone for Five Minutes

I was out of town this weekend working on legal stuff back in Illinois and made it a point to keep Indianapolis off the radar screen. I asked myself “what could possibly happen while I was gone?” I should have known better.

Not only is a 4-year old one of the city’s latest homicide victims, but a woman is killed by a stray bullet. These aren’t examples of mope kills mope, but innocent civilians falling victim to the hands of evil doers. And to make matters worse, we are now back to averaging a homicide every 2.7 days. And according to the Indianapolis Star, we’re ahead of where we were last year at this time, and you know what happened last year when it came to homicides.

I would expect law enforcement, particularly the leadership, to be on top of this. But instead, Frank Anderson is not only offering up endorsements for an election that is four years away, but he is also not communicating with his fellow Democrats. I spoke to a number of them over the weekend, and Frank’s actions have also raised the ire of Julia Carson, the Godmother of the Marion County Democratic Party.

If Julia is not happy, and puts her machinations into work, there is no way candidate Kerry Forestal can become sheriff. All this in less than 72 hours. Can’t I leave you people alone for two minutes without something silly happening? I guess not.

Sounds like Frank is seeing the light. The “ghetto mafia” is nothing but a bunch of hacks who live in the best parts of their ghetto/semi-ghetto districts. Frank on the other hand live in Geist. My guess is that the Sheriff does not want to ruit his imagine by being thought of as in the same boat of local corrupt Dems.

FYI – indyundercover has revealed that CCC attorney Haith has at least three prior DUI convictions – two involving injuries.

Can anybody say “bought and paid for”?

You can say “superfragilisticexpealidocius” but so what? Haith’s past driving problems are no secret — they weren’t sufficient to disbar him. I’ve been knowing about those DUI’s for years now …

Aaron Haith is hired as an attorney – not a chauffeur. Miss Daisy has Haith on a retainer for her legal problems…

    Wilson,

After reading the Indiana Supreme Court decision on Haith (and the dissenting opinion), along with the CCC remarks and records regarding Haith’s appointment, I realize that the drunk driving record is indeed public knowledge.

But public knowledge should certainly not be confused with common knowledge. In light of Haith’s questionable relationship with Monroe Gray and in light of questionable activities conducted by Mr. Gray, I believe that due diligence entails that Haith’s prior record should be taken into account by the general public.

On a personal note, it’s my opinion that you can most likely dig up a skeleton or two in everyone’s closet. We’re all human and we all make mistakes. If Haith wasn’t involved in questionable represntation of a CCC member, I’d consider the dredging up of old records an unsubstantiated attack. Unfortunately for Haith, his choice of clients has opened the door to a can of worms that begs the light of day.

Also, with regards to the alcohol aspect of Haith’s former convictions, was he also representing Mr. or Mrs. Gray in the 300 East debacle?

    Inquiring minds want to know…

As was stated by the Liquor Board during the 300 East hearing, a DUI is not necessarily a disqualification for ownership. A DUI by an attorney involved in a Liquor Board case would be particularly irrelevant. I know not if Aaron represented either Gray concerning 300 East.

    Well said Shorebreak.

Wilson, do you get paid by the dems just to sit around and post on the blogs blindly defending them?

As a longtime Democratic Party activist, I simply volunteer my experience and knowledge online to counter the lies, distortions and misinformation peddled by partisan anonymous nobodies against good public servants …
