<description>Wilson what’s with the comments about a “fat yellow chicken”? Did you miss the bus to Popeye's?
Maybe it’s the though that someone in a chicken suit has ignited the curiosity of some citizens in Indy.
I hear that three out of the four folks who have been in that costume were democrats. What say now?

<description>"When the GOP dominates the Council again, they can pick and choose the Attorney for the Council. Until then, they can just throw mud and pout!"

First admission from Wilson the GOP will take over!

HA!!!!

<description>When the GOP had their over-30-year domination of the CityCounty Council, they established the Ethics Commission as the procedure. The local Republicans still cant believe they dont run everything so they try to invent new "investigatory commissions" to get their way. That failed, of course.

When the GOP dominates the Council again, they can pick and choose the Attorney for the Council. Until then, they can just throw mud and pout!

<description>Atty. Aaron Haith should not be the council's attorney. If you check out his background, you will understand why he was chosen to represent the Democrats. No way could he be objective in this matter and represent the taxpayers interests in the county. Haith has a drunk driving record and could not run for judge. So they gave him the position with the council. He is controlled.

<description>Well, Wilson, once again you get it wrong, but it's OK...since Gray is black, and you're duty-bound to defend All Things Racial, regardless of facts, it was an assumed position. You surprised no one.

Two observations:

1. If the Republicans had done anything like this when Democrats were in power, they'd have screamed bloody murder, and Dr. SerVaas would've agreed with them. The whole "shoe on the other foot" thing just demands to be examined here.

2. Mr. Gray's postion as president has nothing to do with the voters of his district, except they sent him to the council. He is president of OUR council. The whole city. So it is a city-wide issue, not a district issue.

The district argument kinda hides the obvious, thouogh, so it's a somewhat-understandblae defense. Just a flimsy one.

What's the drink special at 300 East tonight?

<description>Brizzi would most likely only investigate on a charge of corruption. Violation of Section 293 of the municipal code is different from corruption, though not mutually exclusive. If the council chooses to not have an ethics inquiry to President Gray's activities beyond his alleged public employment (what does he do as a liason?) maybe there will be a corruption investigation instead. So really, what's worse...the council with a hand slap or the county prosecutor with a criminal charge? Gray should step down, admit he did something he shouldn't have and move on. In an election year, you would think that the CCC would do more than try to do more than put a gallon of crap in a half gallon bucket.

Wilson deflection shield....ACTIVATE!

<description>The Council just voted not to support the GOP partisan "ethics" investigation. It looks like normal Hoosier procedures will have to be followed, instead of some weird new "ethics investigatory commission". Of course, the Republicans could also run a vigorous campaign to inform the voters of the 8th District of the probity and virtuousness of their own candidate (whenever they dredge one up).

<description>Melyssa: We have a County Prosecutor to handle criminal wrong-doing. He is tasked with investigating illegal activity. Let him do his job! Don't you have faith in Carl Brizzi?

Some in the GOP are unhappy with Gray - so why don't they have a vigorous candidate who will campaign loudly against him? Inform the voters! Why the rush for a special, new government commission to "investigate" Gray? It's election time again and the weakened Republicans are just looking to throw mud!

<description>Wilson46201, Most people in his district don't pay attention to what is going on and would not without an investigation. I know because I have lived in his district for 8 years (Meridian Kessler) and didn't know anything about him until I started to follow political blogs a couple years ago. What an eye opener! Also, most of my friends in my neighborhood don't know anything about him. An investigation will make PUBLIC that his ethics are in question and give the tax payers something substantial to consider before voting this fall.
