Don’t Hold Back Mr. Mayor, Tell Us How You Really Feel
Indianapolis Mayor Bart Peterson offered some thoughts today on a number of issues. And in those thoughts there was praise for Republicans and criticism for some of his fellow Democrats. He said while he disagreed with State Senator Jim Merritt over consolidation, he gave Merritt praise for offering up ideas on how resolve the issue. However he criticized Pike Township Trustee Lula Patton over her opposition to fire consolidation saying she was more concerned about jobs than public safety. He also admitted the Sheriff has not been very visible as the city goes through it’s latest crime wave, however he says the public will see a lot more Frank Anderson in the future. Wow, being almost assured re-election is great for candor. I like this Bart Peterson.

I have noticed Mayor Bart calls in on your show, but he sits in the studio with Amos. He is so phoney. I heard the interview this morning. Nothing with real substance was said. It is time for him to get on the campaign trail and Monroe Gray will be sacrificed if need be, and so will Ron Gibson before they loose control of power. The Democrat Party can do without both of them and replace them if they have to.

Sheriff Anderson was in the news today giving away $100,000 dollars from a jail fund that used to go unreported into his own pocket until the Indiana State Board of Accounts discovered it.

This seemingly “unreported” fund has been a staple of Hoosier law enforcement pay for many, many years — it’s not illegal — it’s the State law for ALL counties. Don’t try to make it sound like our Sheriff was doing something sneaky or underhanded! If this is the worst that can be said about Anderson that he is following the law, so be it. Next the opponents will be saying he has a thespian for a sister and that he matriculated at school!

If this money is truly so up and up, then why has he decided not to take it as personal income after the audit?
How much are we paying this public employee?

About the same as the previous Republican Marion County Sheriffs … do you really think Jack Cottey was a model of probity?

Fart hasn’t had much comment on the crime issue either! Fart and Frankie should both be ashamed!
Just because something is legal doesn’t make it right. The jail money should be put in the coffers not the sheriff.
Finally, if we get Cottey to jump from the top of the Conrad I am hoping Frank will copy him too.

I love how Indy Dems keep screwing up. Their actions will make it easier to block any future “regional” taxes here in the suburban counties. Keep up the good work voters of Indy. We need more Grays, Howards, etc.. coming out of that county.
I remember the fear of one of the Boone County guys. He said first it is a stadium, then what would it be next. At the rate Indy hacks keep stepping on it, we will never have to worry about a next!!

Yhe rural hicks have long been suspicious of the big city slickers - big deal! They still keep coming into Indianapolis for jobs and entertainment like they have for many, many years…
