21 Days and Counting!

I can always tell when we’re getting down to the wire in an election season. Weird things happen much more frequently. Don’t believe me, well try these on for size.

Brian Howey of the Howey Political Report is reporting today that Republican Congressman, John Hostettler is all but giving up his bid for re-election in the 8th Congressional District.

Former Marion County Public Safety Director Robert Turner is endorsing Republican Carl Brizzi for Prosecutor over Democrat and former co-worker Melina Kennedy. Turner says Kennedy is a good person, but Brizzi is more qualified for the job.

Republican City-County Councilmember Ike Randolph’s proposal for a fee on event tickets to pay for public safety is up for a hearing.

All that and just 21 days to go before Election Day.

Abdul, I love it when you have “BIG NEWS,” becuase it never has been.

    1) Bob Turner is a lifelong republican.

    2) He was fired for failing to do his job.

Big shit, not even a drop in the proverbial bucket. Kind of like your audience.

If it’s no big deal, why are you responding?! Bob was not fired, despite what you might heard I know the real story and have seen the paperwork. He’s voted for both Ds and Rs. Will it change the race, maybe not. But If I were the candidate, I’d rather have the endorsement than not have it.

Right, he “resigned” (when the CoS demands it, its being fired, despite what any “paperwork” says).

And voting, good, I would hope that someone as old as Big Bobbie T would have split his ticket at some point.

Will it change the race? Absolutly not. Rather have it than not? Sure, but I’d rather have a kola as a pet than not, its not going to change the outcome of the Prosecutor’s race.

It looks like someone doesn’t like the heat that Abduls program brings to current issues.

I guess that goes with the territory.

Keep it up, Abdul! Your proverbial bucket is definitely making waves. Good job!

Why is Bob Turner’s voting record even an issue? Why would it make any difference how he’d voted?

By his own description on your program this morning, he’s voted for and against both major parties. He has never shown a propensity for lying, so I take him at his word.

I couldn’t care less whether he quit or as fired. The entire Public Safety Director’s office should be imploded to save us money. It’s a ridiculous waste of time and dollars. I dnon’t care if Bob or Melina or Mrs. Peterson herself occupies the office. It’s irrelevant.

His timing is certainly self-serving and Brizzi-orchestrated, but so what?

You know who’s REALLY regretting election day’s passing? Ron Gibson. In short order, he’ll be on trial and having to make a decision about running again (or having it made FOR him). And there won’t be distracting election stories to block the view.

    This is gonna be good.
