October 1, 2006 10:19:

I sure hope you are right. I think that Ike has a lot going for him, and if things go good for Republicans in the Prosecutor's and the 7th Congressional races, 2007 will look a whole lot different. It will be a like a snowball rolling down a hill.

Politically speaking, the mayor, while often thought of as invincible, is far from it. I wonder if Frank Anderson could have been seriously challenged this year based on the exponential crime rate increase. It's too bad Republicans picked a subpar candidate, though.

I really think someone like Ike Randolph could mount a tough challenge in 2007 to a mayor that is now vulnerable in so many areas.

I moved here about 6 years ago and I agree. I am looking around and starting wonder what am I doing here? I am a professional person who can easily find something else. Obviously my tax dollars are not being used properly and I am not getting any representation.

If I don't see some SERIOUS changes in the upcoming election I will probably think of getting out - while I can still do it alive. WHY would I choose to live in a city that is not interested in its citizens?

People ARE fed up, but they don't know what to do, where to even begin, etc., because politics and money rule. You can get far without money and it seems people are too easily bought around here. I'm at a point I want to vote out every incumbent because it doesn't matter whether they are Democrat or Republican, nearly everyone in office has lost touch with reality, what real people -- middle and lower classes -- are dealing with day in and day out. It's simply more important to go after people in the other political party so they can "win" at all costs. The majority of Indiana residents are the losers because those in powerful positions are too selfish to take the tough road of standing up for what's right for the people, not for the selected few.
